Sorry, but I'm not satisfied with your answer. Canon should do better than that. What would it cost me to get it into working order?

Check first if the printer is working properly, then after that turn the power off of the printer to about a munite, then try to print if still not working, update the printer software..

Hope that helps..........

As its the problem of no power replace the power supply wire you are using and see if it works.if still not getting it worked.then its inter circuit board problem.repairing that would cost you more than new printer.so dont repair it and waste your money.its a scrap.buy another hp printer.as this problem in the hp printers can be solved quiet cheaply.as the spare partys are easily available.thanks.please rate the solution.

Check also that the cartridge is not empty, or faulty, try an alternative set of cartridges.

It may be more cost effective to

Soon after initiating printing, Canon s400 printer stops with a loud clunk. This produces Error 5100. Turning off and on again does not help.

Hi You can Try

Error Code 5100 This happens lots in caon
Solution 1:
Clean the timing strip.

Solution 2:
The purge cap (the white sliding mechanism that the print head parks to when it's not in use) may be not lubricated well enough .

Lubricate the sliders with some white grease (don't get it on the small wipers or the black caps); this repair probably require to remove the right panel off of the printer to gain access to the purge mechanism.

Canon s400 printer w/new cartridge

Dear aunder,
Did you mean print blank in black nozzle?. Please compare with another cartridge if you have. Is the problem still persist?. If it so, the problem can be caused by purge unit of the printer not function properly (purge unit cannot **** the ink from the cartridge). Hope this will be useful for you.

CANON S400 PRINTING PROBLEM

What printer do you have? Clean heads, clean heads, clean heads, etc. Then do the test print to see if the heads are open. I had similar problem with an Epson, had to clean the heads often, finally got to where the heads wouldn't clean so threw it away and bought another one (HP this time, the heads are included in the ink carts, haven't had to clean the heads at all.)
