Jandy legacy pool heater brand new igitor doesnt

I have a jandy Legacy LRZ400EP which has electric ignitor. Although the unit appeared to be powered on and had a display indicating "Fault-check ign control", I was told ALL Zodiac pool heaters come wired for 240VAC. I have a 120 circuit and thought I ordered 120 Volt wiring. As shown on the Installation and operation manual two wires which are shorted together for 240 operation needed to be connected to the 120 VAC input.I wish jandy would add a small note into the packing reminding the comsumer.

If I had not understood electronics ,that could have been difficult to figure out.

very odd symptoms.Good idea for a battery, but I dont think jandy uses one.

Good day. Some of the gas heaters have a battery powered ignitor. Please check if batteries are installed, and if so, is there sufficient power from the batteries (have the run down). Hope this helps

I have a brand new jandy legacy natural gas pool heater. Keeps saying check ignition control. 250,000 BYU w/elec ignition.

The heater should still be under warrantee. Call Jandy to send out a factory approved tech. Anyone else messing with it may void the warrantee.
