I don't know which slot to insert the paper into. I thought I did what wanda580 instructed but once I close the machine it acts as its going to print something but just keeps making the noise and no paper comes out.

I do not have a pictur eor video but it is not difficult. Open printer door, place paper in printer with the paper coming out towards the keys of the terminal from underneath the roll. Pull slacked paper over keys of terminal and shut printer door.

Do the Verifone readers that are part of the Radio Shack liquidation need to be reprogrammed by Verifone to work?

By verifpne readers are you referring to an actual credit card processing machine or the type that attaches to a cell phone or tablet? they will need to be activated for the processor you are using. you may want to call your processor to see if they are compatible.

How do I check credit card activity of a prior date

if you are asking if you can do this on your VX510, the answer is you can not check prior activity for any credit card on a credit card machine, that would require contacting the bank that issued the credit card. if it is your card they will provide information, if not your card, you will need owner of card to call.
