You should try and reinstall the Office suite.

To temporarily work around this problem, try the following steps:

Double-click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
Double-click SOFTWARE.
Double-click Microsoft.
Double-click Windows NT.
Double-click CurrentVersion.
Double-click the Drivers32 folder.
Right-click the msacm.voxacm16 file, and then click Rename. Change the file name to no.msacm.voxacm16.

Thanks

Tip

Recovered and Auto Saved Files and how to find them

It is very common to forget to save your files on your Office 2007 and the next day you find your computer closed:

Office 2007 have a great option that allows you to Autosave and Recover your unsaved files:
The default path is - C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Microsoft\Application(excel,word, etc.)

It is usually set up as default but just in case here is a user guide from MS of how to set it up -
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HP101407291033.aspx

The next time you enter to your application it will show you all the files that were opened and not saved on the left side.

Now here is the beautiful part of this guide...
What happened if you were too lazy and didn't look at the recovered files and close them again without looking?

They are automatically send to the recycle bin!!!

That means that you will have any file that was auto saved in the recycle bin, just press right click on the file and then restore. You will be able to find the file in the directory mentioned above.

It says office application version does not match every time I open my documents.

    Firstly
    ***

When opening a Microsoft Office program or file you may get a message that says “Office Application Version Does Not Match Error”. This is most likely caused by having the Outlook 2007 Business Contact Manager installed on your computer. Many computers that come with the Office trial program installed will have this on their computer from when it was new.

There are a couple of ways to get rid of this error. First you can install the update from Microsoft that gets rid of the error.

Or you can go into Add and Remove Programs (XP) or Programs and Features (Vista) and uninstall the Outlook 2007 Business Contact Manager if you don ’t use it. It won’t affect any of your Office programs. You may get a message during the uninstall process that it can’t remove it from your Outlook profile but just click Ok and finish the uninstall.

    *************
    or

    *******
Bit of an odd one this error message. It is issued when you start Microsoft Word 2007 (or indeed Excel 2007, PowerPoint 2007 or Publisher 2007) on a computer that has Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager installed. You can download a a patch that will stop this error message appearing here.

Hope this will solve your problem

Trial activation key for Microsoft office 2007

    hi,
To use this to crack activation on Office 2007, you need to install Office 2007 without any serial number or product key. If you have installed Office 2007 with a product key or serial number, do the following to clean remove Office 2007 of product key:
    1. Close all Microsoft Office applications .
    2. Run Register Editor by clicking on Start -> Run, and then type “regedit” in the Open box and press Enter key.
    3. Navigate to the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Registration
Note that inside the registry key, there should be another subkey that resembles the following:
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Registration\{90120000-0030-0000-0000-0000000FF1CE
      or
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Registration\{91120000-0011-0000-0000-0000000FF1CE
    4. If there is more than one registry entries or subkeys that reference Microsoft 12.0 registration, open up each subkey, and then identify the product by the ProductName value data until you locate the subkey for the product which you want to remove the existing product license key. For example:
      ProductName=Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007
      ProductName=Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007
    5. Once found the correct registry subkey, delete the following values: DigitalProductID
      ProductID
    6. Close Registry Editor.
Once Microsoft Office 2007 has been installed with no product key, proceed with the following steps:
    1. In Windows Explorer, brose to the following folder: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE12\Office Setup Controller\Proof.en\
    2. Right click on Proof.XML file, select “Open With…” in the right click menu.
    3. In the “Open With” window, select Notepad to be used to open the XML file. In Vista, if you can’t see the Notepad option, simply double click the “Other Programs” to unhide it.
    4. Scroll down to the bottom of the Proof.XML to locate the following lines: </Feature> <Feature Id=”SetupXmlFiles” Cost=”1248′>
      <OptionRef Id=”AlwaysInstalled”/>
      </Feature>
    5. Change the AlwaysInsalled to neverInstalled so that the line looks like following: <OptionRef Id=”neverInstalled”/>
    6. Save the Proof.xml file. In Windows Vista, you may need to take ownership and grant full access permission to yourself before able to modify the file.
    7. You can now launch Microsoft Office 2007 application such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and etc without prompting for activation

I need help with microsoft office 2007

The resolution appears to be two fold,

First of all you might want to add the following registry key depending on the application for which the user gets a prompt:
Click on Start Run then type in the following command for respective applications.
    reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\<application>\Options /v NoReReg /t REG_DWORD /d 1 For Ex:
    reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Options /v NoReReg /t REG_DWORD /d 1
    reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Excel\Options /v NoReReg /t REG_DWORD /d 1
    reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Options /v NoReReg /t REG_DWORD /d 1
    reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\PowerPoint\Options /v NoReReg /t REG_DWORD /d 1.
This should normally take care of the issue in applications like Outlook ,Word and Power point .

The user might also get a secondary error message when opening Excel application that states the following. stdole32.bmp

Note: Opening excel in the application safe mode would bypass the error. But this could be misleading coz the issue has more to do with permission than add-in within the application.

To resolve this problem you would need to perform the following steps:

    1) Go to start > run > regedit

    2) Navigate to the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT > Excel.Chart.8

    3) Right Click on key and select Permissions

    4) In the Permission windows > Click on Add Tab and add everyone

    5) Once this is done Click on the Advanced Tab > Owner > Highlight Everyone > Click on Apply and Ok

    6) In the Permission > Select Everyone > enable the check box for Full Control and Read, then Click on Apply and Ok.

    7) Click on F5 to refresh, this should create a new Sub key below Excel.Chart.8 called Protocol > Right Click on the key and repeat step 3 – 5.

    8) Refresh again and follow the same sequence of steps to add permission to the following Sub keys StdFileEditing >Server.

    9) Close the registry editor.

This should resolve the issue for good.
