I can't to conected to computer - Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30 Digital Camera

  • kakima Jun 21, 2011

Have you considered NOT connecting your camera to your computer? The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Having gone two months without a reply to my query, I assume my suggestion to use a card reader solved the problem.

When turning on my computer I get no picture on my screen. I have checked all conections and made sure that they are all properly conected. What needs too be done?

Was your monitor previously working? Is your monitor set to receive input from the cable its connected to? There are different inputs for monitors usually. Make sure your monitor is set to receive input from the cable (vga, hdmi, DVI, ect.). If your monitor is very old, it may just be that's it's giving out. If your monitor is new, it may be that it wasn't working to begin with. If its not the connectors, then the monitor may just not be working.

My smpk4083 wont charge

It can be 1 of 4 things. 1: the way your charging it. 2: the cable. 3: the battery. 4: the conection on your device.
1: Try charging it different ways. (Different wall outlet, laptop, computer, etc.) (Note: some laptops and/or computers might not have a strong enough charge to recharge certain devices. You'd have to adjust the power setting in the control panel or the manufacturers setings.)
2: Try using a different cable. (If you don't have one try wigleing both ends to see if you get a charge.)
3. Try another battery. (Most people overcharge batteries thus shortening the recharging capabilities.)
4. Check to see if any of the pins are messed up or missing on where you plug the wire into your device. (If any are missing you can open it up and replace the part.) Sometimes people end up pushing them in by accident when they conect there charger, so the wire doesn't make a good conection after a while (another case where wiggleing the wire could work).

My computer is detecting wireless conections but once i try to conect it shows and icon... and i tried to repear the conection and it is showing me this msg "problem with wireless adpter or acces...

If the computer is able to see wireless signals but is unable to connect, it is most likely an issue with the card, which unfortunately is internal. It could just be the driver - go to support.dell.com, punch in your service tag and download the wireless driver for your PC and install it. If that does not work, reboot your wireless router. If that still does not work, it's the hardware and cheapest option is to a get USB wifi adapter.

After conecting to my computer there is no recocnition of camera on computer, time and date were added before conecting to computer will this make a difference to conection does this affect the internal...

Setting the Date and Time manually does not influence the behaviour of the camera. However, if the camera is not 'recognized' by the computer: Check if the USB cable is properly fitted in the camera. Put the other end in a different computer USB port. The computer should see the camera as a Removeable USB Device. If the problem persists, connect the camera to another computer and see if it is recognized.
