Question about Memorex MVD2042 DVD Player
It could be that the firmware for the DVD drive is out dated, especially if you purchased it before 2003, and some of the new DVD movies have a different encoding then the old ones, hence why it thinks there is no disk, so my only suggestion is see if yopu can get updated firmware. Also try cleaning the lens with one of those laser lens cleaning discs, I have heard stories that that has fixed it a couple of times.
