Screen doesnt work, sound works fine. It worked fine last night but wouldnt turn on this morning, why?

is the screen dark?, if is it, see if the TRC filament is light, if is it afirmative, turn a little clockwise the fly back knob that say SCREEN and watch if there is a horizontal line at midle of the tv screen. if is it, your problem is in the vertical stage.

TV will not turn on

Hello,

I am by no means an expert but i have the same type of TV and have a similiar problem, first I thought it might be a heat-induced effect so I vacuumed the interior but no joy--then I carefully inspected the main board and found two components that looked melted. So I would suggest you vaccum the interior and then inspect. But be careful as I found one capacitor on the board that still had a charge after 3 days of the set being turned off, you might want to verify things with a multimeter before poking around.

Phillips 27 inch tv

did you check remote like battry, loose nothing is deposited near battry contact etc. if it is getting on from front board and not from remote then fault is due to remote. but if does not start from front also then problem is inside tv. like power supply or horizontal section failure. please do not forget to check plug & socket.
