I bought my performane axiom 8.0 bike computer back in 1998....the problem i have is that the screen resets, goes blank like it has no battery installed. the performance bike shop says i am the exception, that it should have died years ago. any way how can i fix this. I have had the battery tested and it is good, i have reset the computer and that works for a short time, then it goes blank. this all started when the computer fell out of my hand and fell on the ground about 2.5 feet to the ground. the casing looks new still, did not crack or chip nothing looks like new and i have about 15,000 miles on it if not more. would like to keep it not really wanting a new one. please advise

Something is obviously broken or disoriented and sensitive to shock, like a circuit land or contact point somewhere. If it stays up while stationary but reacts to shock check to make sure the battery contacts have some spring tension and test it with controlled shock testing of your own. Otherwise you're talking about microsurgery.

You paid, what, $35 for it 13 years ago? Less than $3/year. You got your money's worth. Get a new one. Go wireless. Look on eBay. Read some reviews first.

same car ?
what fails,
1: engine wont run immoblized
2: alarm dead.
3: alarm trips when all is good.
4: does car drive perfectly day and night.
5: do all other things work perfect. radio, lights?
6: do any cluster lamps fail, keyon, for example
the immobilizer lamp must go out, per operators guide.

we can not guess any of that.
it must be stated up front
why not start your own post.?
with all symptoms. good and bad.

Hello,

If you want to reset the previous stored configurations you have to hold down the mode button,until the screen is blank, the values of AV (average speed), MX (maximum speed) and TM (time riding), will be then zero. To reset the ODO (odometer) instead, you can press a little hole on the back of the bikehut.

How can i preserve my bike's tyres?
The best way is to hang your bike, do not leave on garage floor, concrete takes the moisture out of the tires. If, you have to have on the concrete use an old piece of carpeting to put it on.

The screen has gone blank!!
Charge the Walkman fully. To charge the battery of the Walkman fully keep it plugged in to the Computer for 4 hours.

Reset the Walkman by pressing the RESET button that is located at the bottom.

You can use any sharp pointed object to press the reset button.

If the issue persists then Walkman may require service.

IBM T30 screen ramdomly goes blank and computer freezes.
Reset your bios settings to "Bios defaults", then disable power management.
In Windows, go to device manager and try to detect new hardware. Follows screen instructions.

PDA intermitently powers up then freezes on "Palm Powered" screen
I had the same issue. What you need to do is to hold the power on/off button than press the reset button. The screen turns off (get black) than the will ask you to make a hard reset (which end up deleting all datas). The Palm will power on like the first time you turned it on after you bought it. Than depending which version you have it will possible ask you which language you will like to have as default. After selecting you neet to setup the rest. If this is done you sync it all data will come back :-)
