Ariston combi boiler

Hi, my combi boiler has been on summer setting for months now, no radiators or timings, the settings on timings are all on off, so we should only be having hot water but about 4 times in the last two weeks, twice today the radiators have come on, I think after we have been running the hat water, any ideas what is wrong?

Sounds like your diverter valve is passing on the boiler, this diverts the heat either to the rads or to the taps, if its passing through the heating chanel it'll heat up the rads- may also be a scaled up secondary heat exchanger, hope this helps you

Re: combi boiler.

if you have hot water at the taps but the heating isn't working make sure the thermostat is set high enough for the boiler to run check the time clock settings are on.
if these are working it could be a faulty diverter valve switch not sending a signal to the boiler to run.

Combi boiler problem

most have an overrun built in for a few minutes. if much longer have you got a room thermostat anywhere to turn down
If it never turns off check the switch which controls ON/TIMED/OFF and turn to timed or off. if it still continues on timed then it's the timer

Clock on comi boiler

it may be the preheat setting on the boiler for the hot water circuit. do the radiators get hot when the boiler fires up with the time clock off ? if not then there is nothing to worry about if it is only on for a short time.

Installing a Mixer Shower from a Combi Boiler.

hi there, your boiler will perfectly match the mira excel ( a great choice i might add) a 24cdi will give about 9.8 litres a minute flow rate hot water.
The mira excel is suitable for any plumbing set up and there installation instruction are very well laid out & their helpline is fantastic.
The hot water will fluctuate accordingly to the time of year as the cold water temp coming into the property will vary. but the boiler will modulate to compensate. So in brief in the summer you will notice it hotter than you would in the winter, this has nothing to do with the boiler just the incoming temp of the cold water.

hi,

just check your water supply of your aristion DIA 20-24 combi boiler if is in constant pressure. not properly circulated water supply can cause overheating.

and manuals can help us also in proper checking. at the link below please check this out if you don't have.
