Pyle Audio PLRD92 overhead monitor w/dvd

I have installed this product, checked and rechecked to make sure I've done it as per the manual, ran two solid power sources to it, one constant (for the dome lights) the other keyed for the main power so that it won't play when the car is off and I can get no sound out of the unit. I have run through all the menus but I just can't figure it out. I wrote support but so far they haven't responded. Is there anything else I can check or is there something faulty going on here? I even ran through each of the fm channels it's supposed to transmit on. It acts as if it accessing the radio but there is still no sound. And, no sound from the units included speakers either.

The manual talks about "initialization" and "Audio Shift" but never defines them or tells you how to go about checking them.
