Question about Brother MFC 8440 All-In-One Laser Printer
I cannot get rid of this message even though the cover is closed. Is there a sensor switch I can disable? My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org
NO no Sensor to disable
Check the Tab on the top of the Document Door
there is a table on it. Make sure the Senor Tab is NOT broken.
if it is you will have to have someone replace the Cover. their's a sensor on the document door make sure that not offset if it missing the tab it will ask you to close the door.
Check those two things first.
Worst Case you have a Bad Sensor and will need replacement.

Look for switch where the doc door closes and insert a piece of paper to trigger it, message should clear, adjust switch.
