The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

Let us know if the hard reset does not fix it.

New unit used 3 days. Microwave beeps and screen goes to menu, or set time screen. Sometimes changes the date all by itself. Does this in the middle of the night all night long.

I advice you to contact service if it has guarantee. This seems to be a psychological problem about your oven(!). Technical person need to do an electronic research surgery on its board to see if there is any wrong thing.

The SE indicates a short in the keypad membrane, but to cure this! the whole keypad control board should be changed if effort to resolve is decided, I would also suggest checking the pricing.

I continue to get a message on the little screen that says "F-4" Then it continually beeps day and night! The only way I can stop it is to start the microwave cooking, then open the door to pause...

Hi,

F4 means Open humidity sensor, will occur if humidity sensor is detected as being open continuously over 5 seconds it says to replace the sensor.

This is how sensor looks like :-

Once replaced, it would fix the problem.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

I have the same problem with Panasonic NN-8501V Microwave Oven

I took the touch pad control unit apart, clean the connector for the ribbon wire connection between the key pad and the control unit, reseated the ribbon wire in the connection. Everything worked like new.

Code "d" means the microwave is in "Demo Mode".
Push and hold the "Kitchen Timer" pad for 5 seconds until you hear two beeps.
