Samsung dvd sr150m

It needs factory remote reset. This sound wierd but it will fix it and you need to be handy with a soldering iron. Open up you remote control and solder 2 wires onto pins 15 and 21 of the micro. Re assemble your remote and leave these two wires poking out. Point remote and set and touch the wires. It will say test. Type in 01 and drawer will open. It should now be back in uk mode.

Does work. Remember the pins on the IC are numbered anticlockwise with the dot as no.1 Turn the remote so pin 1 is nearest you on the right. When TEST appears press 01 before it goes out. Once CLR appears on display, turn machine off for a moment, then once it is back on it should say AUTO and tune itself.

I have shorted out pins 15 and 21 as said here but test does not come up, what do I do now and why as it gone like this in the first place, is the not a combination of buttons you can press on the remote to get into enginers settings and test mode?
