Exactly the same problem here also - have telephoned Samsung support - 0845 726 7864 and waiting a response on the problem.

It needs factory remote reset. This sound wierd but it will fix it and you need to be handy with a soldering iron. Open up you remote control and solder 2 wires onto pins 15 and 21 of the micro. Re assemble your remote and leave these two wires poking out. Point remote and set and touch the wires. It will say test. Type in 01 and drawer will open. It should now be back in uk mode.

I have a samsung dvd sr150m and unfortunately it seems that the country to scan the digital channels has defaulted to Austria and there is no option to select or even change to any other country, can you help me in order to get this reset to UK?

Does work. Remember the pins on the IC are numbered anticlockwise with the dot as no.1 Turn the remote so pin 1 is nearest you on the right. When TEST appears press 01 before it goes out. Once CLR appears on display, turn machine off for a moment, then once it is back on it should say AUTO and tune itself.

I have shorted out pins 15 and 21 as said here but test does not come up, what do I do now and why as it gone like this in the first place, is the not a combination of buttons you can press on the remote to get into enginers settings and test mode?

please get back to me as i'm at my witts end here and it's still stuck in Austria.

I went from cable to uhf, How do I program my TV. channel to make my TV. and DVR4300 to work?

It should not affect you menu at all. When you get a settings menu you just switch from Cable to Air and then have it do it\'s auto scan routine. I cut the cord from Comcast to HDTV as soon as I got a house and could install an antenna. The picture quality is MUCH better then the crappy signal Comcast was sending me which always broke up. I get a solid signal from my stations which are 12-33 miles away. The DVR should be similar. My Samsung TV will actually simultaneously scan for both kinds but it\'s unusual.

How do i tune my sharp dv-rw360h recorder combi to the digital signal

If your DVD recorder has a built in digital box, all you need to do is a channel scan or auto-search and it will pickup any digital channels in your area. But your DVD recorder needs to be equippd with a built in digital settop box for this to work. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Since they switched to digital TV, my VCR/DVD player will not record a TV program.

The DR-MV150B has both a digital tuner and analog tuner. Since the digital conversion you more likely have not run a channel scan for the new digital channels. Plugging in a digital tuner would work, but is unnecessary. What you probably have to do is run the 'auto scan' feature through the recorders menu. Hit "Home" button go to the "TV" icon and select "Auto Scan". It will take a few minutes, but recorder will scan for digital channels and memorize them.

Get into the menu, select aspect ratio or picture size and look for 1080i, 720i or whatever your DVD support. Whichever one DVD supports you don't want to select option with "p", but with "i"

I need to reset the country on my samsung dvd-sr150m as it is currently set to austra so when it scans for digital channels it isnt scanning england

Resetting to Austria, for no reason at all, is a known issue. The machines _cannot_ be reset by the user. Samsung DVD models affeceted need to be taken to their Mitcham depot for a software upgrade (either the customer does that, or an engineer can call at your home to take it away and bring it back at a later date). In the UK, phone the Samsung helpline 0870 242 0303 Mon-Sat 9.00-6.00

Toshiba D-VR650KU can't "see" digital channels

On the Notification screen with Cable highlighted I found that left clicking on Cable gave a drop down menu with TV on it for selection. The manual says that while Cable is highlighted, use the up or down arrows to get TV to be an option and then select it and Yes and enter. Hope this helps. I have other problems with my monitor on Line Out, the screen oftens turns blue indicating low or no video using Line 1 or 2 inputs.
