How do I tune a Grundig TV/DVD with no remote? Is it a combination of buttons on the front panel? Thanks

Get a pen and a piece of paper.

If I remember correctly, each button has a bizarre symbol next to it.

Draw the buttons on the paper and draw the symbol that appears beside each button.

With the TV on, press the first button and note what it does. Press it a second time to see if that progresses to something further or cancels the operation.

Repeat this for the other buttons.

I seem to remember a vertical green line appearing on Grundig sets which indicated that the tuning was activated. Look for buttons such as > or >> or < or << that suggest scanning for channels. Make sure you can pick up analogue TV signals in your area.

It also helps if you have a VCR or DVD recorder which is already tuned and you can tune the TV to that signal.

Connect vcr to jvc c2033us tv

You will need to put your aerial into the rear uhf socket of the VCR then take another connecting lead (flylead) from the out of the VCR & put this into the aerial socket of the TV. You will now need to select a channel on the TV (best to use channel zero) & tune the TV to the VCR signal. The best way to do this is to put in a recorded tape eg a film /press play/ then tune the TV until you pick up the playback of the film, then store this on the TV. This will give you your VCR channel. You will now need to tune the VCR to your broadcasted stations so that you can record.

How to tune to tv channels

There is a switch [tv-vcr] somewere in the front. When pressed to tv, you can change the channels FROM the vcr.You will need an "air wave" ANTENNA signal because the cable box individual channels cannot be seen when you place the switch to tv.Now if you have a cable box connected properly and turn that tv-vcr switch to vcr the individual CABLE BOX CHANNELS will show through the vcr.
p.s. There is a small switch (someware in the back of the vcr & the back of the cable box, dish box, etc., etc.) ch.3 or ch.4 and the VCR have to be on the same INPUT channel as the box.

Panasonic NV SJ205 changing RF settings

Hi,
Your VCR has input to record video-audio signal. Here is 2 options to record program in vcr.
1= You need to hook up video-audio cable at Monitor Out in TV and video-audio in at VCR. select Line-1 or Line-2 (where you hook up cable) in vcr and insert cassette with Record Tab intact, VCR is ready to record TV program. select desired channel on tv and hit record button of vcr, recording will start.
2= Plug RF antenna / cable wire in RF In of vcr and tune desired channel in vcr (get help of vcr's user manual for that) and push record button to start record directly in vcr.
Have further query, let me know please.
bye.

Grundig TV - Tuning DVD & VCR

Hi there!
If the DVD recorder has an RF out then you should be able to tune it on UHF bandwidth. The cable should run from the RF Out on the recorder to RF on the TV. Switch the recorder on, put in a DVD and press play before tuning. Some DVD's require a disc before a Menu appears. Good Luck, Regards, JUS004

1. Check the TV's horizontal and vertical hold. 2. If there is a VCR connected: Shut off the VCR. If the problem clears up, the VCR is not properly ?fine-tuned.? Turn the VCR on and troubleshoot the VCR problems. 3. If a converter is connected to your TV and VCR: The VCR needs to be on channel 4. VCR may not be ?fine-tuned? to channel 4. Locate and adjust the fine-tuning mechanism until the picture comes in clearly. The <3/4> switch may be in the wrong position. Locate the switch on the back of the VCR and set it to <4>. 4. Check the fine-tuning of your TV. good luck :-)
