Note that there is am error in some guides. They say a maximum of 194 degrees (F), It should be 149 degrees. Re-check that inlet water temp is less than 149 degrees. Optimal and minumum temperature is 120 degrees.
A failing thermister is pretty rare.
Please report back with what has been found. Thanks.

I get a te code all the time and a he code from time to time.

from Lg this is the meaning of the codes.
  • The heater circuit has failed if "HE" is displayed. Discontinue use and contact a service technician. The dishwasher requires servicing.

TE
  • "TE" means the thermistor has failed or the temperature of the water entering the dishwasher is over 194 degrees Fahrenheit. Turn the temperature down on the hot water heater in the home. If the error code reappears, replace the thermistor.
By the sound of this your heating system is malfunctioning and needs service.
If you need more on this let me know, but it is either your temperature sensor or your heating element or control board.

LG dishwasher LDF modle 7811st error code tE just gives erroe code will not start.

TE error code means Thermistor Fault or Inlet Water Temp too High.

Check the resistance of the thermistor (located on the bottom of the unit in between 2 orange wires with single spade connectors which is the heating element) and it was good 11.7K ohms at 71 degrees room temp. Take the front door off and trace wiring. There is a white plastic wire loom and approx.6" up check the wiring being melted in the black mastic. The thermistor wiring is red and dark blue.

Generally, some lose or broken wires cause this. Keep us updated.

Wash water not hot enough

Hi.

You may need to replace the thermistor, which is the part that determines water temperature. Before replacing the thermistor check the inlet hose at the back and check that water pressure from the house is enough.

To locate parts and diagrams, please enter the full model number, as witten in service tag, in this website.

Regards.

Dishwasher wont start washing but start light is flashing 11 times

hi...
The cause of the problem is an insufficient rise in water temperature during a pre-set time period. The heater fault-detection program that was added to the electronic control is designed to shut down the dishwasher if the board-test for proper water temperature rise is not sufficient.
The dishwasher run cycle was modified to add 8 minutes 45 seconds of heat at the beginning of the main wash cycle. If the inlet water at the thermistor is below 110°F, the thermistor looks for a water rise of 4°F. If the inlet water is over 110°F, the test is for an increase of 2°F. If the temperature rise is below specifications, the unit will drain and the clean light will blink seven times.
You will need to identify possible causes of insufficient temperature rise. These causes may include checking the wiring to/failure of the control, the heating element, the thermistor, the inlet valve, door switch, motor or capacitor. Make sure that water is not siphoning during fill. Once the heater fault detection is triggered and the condition resolved, the electronic control must be reset by initiating a special diagnostic cycle. Use the Product Tech Sheet shipped with each dishwasher — you’ll find it behind the kickplates — to identify the correct cycle sequence. The rapid advance cycle will not properly reset the electronic control....

I'm getting an error I cannot find in the book.

The "half E" is supposed to be a T. The code is TE, and means "
Thermistor trouble or very high inlet water
temperature. (over 194℉)" Some people have posted possible solutions on this site.
