Question about Samsung CLP-500 Laser Printer

Powerless No power to the printer. Everything seem fine but it look like there is no electricity to the printer. For no reason, it juste don't turn ON. I verifyed the wire, changed it, but still no electricity. Is there a safety fuse or breaker on that machine? Serge kaboche69@hotmail.com

I have same problem.
I found part of my problem.
Fuse 2 (5amp slo-blo) in the low voltage power supply was blown.
Replaced it.
Turn power back on and the component R3 (which is an inrush current limiting thermistor # 10D-13) in the same power supply, blew apart and blew the same fuse.

I don't know if something down stream is causing R3 to blow up or if something is bad in that power supply or I just have a bad R3.

I'm gonna try to get some of the R3's before I do any more testing.

There are internal fuses - or it could be a failed PSU

Can't seem to find how to put ink into my canon mx 310 printer

I'm assuming when you said "fine catridge" you meant FINE cartridge. FINE is an acronym for the Canon Ink Cartridges. Anyhow, plug your printer into the electrical outlet and turn the power on. Wait about 1-3 minutes and open it up and the Ink Cartridge holders should move to the left for you to properly insert your Ink Cartridges.

All of a sudden the MP560 won't turn on. The outlet is working but the printer doesn't respond to the ON button. I've checked the power cord it seems to be ok, the cord hasn't moved or been...

This may be a longshot, but many electronic devices like TVs, dryers with electronic computerized controls, entertainment systems like the Wii, and other devices sometimes get "confused" and won't turn on, turn off, or otherwise work properly, perhaps due to a small power surge in your AC line.

I've found that one of the first things to try when it appears to be a failure of the electronics and not a mechanical issue is to unplug the device at the wall (to make sure that any power adapter is also unplugged) and wait about 10 minutes for any residual electric charge to dissipate. Then plug the device back in and give it a try. This has worked with a television, a Wii console, an electric clothes dryer, and some other devices that I thought had died for good. This may explain why sometimes a device is taken to a repair shop and it works fine.

There are, of course, other reasons that the unit won't turn on, but I would try this first before looking for other reasons for the problem.

My 1600n printer is taking much longer to warm up now than it did when it was new several years ago. Still prints fine. Any ideas?

My friend, this is typical of everything as it ages ... including me and probably you.

Electrically, as components age (read deteriorate), their value changes slightly. Also, as the hardworking components heat and cool day in and day out, year after year ... that adds to the change in electrical value. When this happens, power doesn't flow through the system when everything was shiny and new.

If the delay is a problem, you could 'wake' your printer earlier in the morning.

The next time you have this printer serviced, you might make inquiry of the technician as to whether he or she can make adjustments to the printer to increase its performance. BTW - as yo increase the voltage in a given circuit, you hasten its ultimate demise. More heat, more stress and so forth.

GOT A XEROX C20 COPPIER CAME TO WORK TODAY AND ITS POWERLESS

Have you tried unplugging it for a half an hour?
I don't mean just turning off the power switch, remove the plug from the wall for half an hour and plug it back in. Often that resets the power supply.
If you remove the cover where the copies come out. 2 screws on the left side, check the fuses. If unplugging it for 30 minutes or a fuse is not bad ,the power supply itself has failed.

Printer won't turn on ( mx850 )

I believe the fix is to disconnect power cord for an hour or so.
This is truly maddening... it's a bug in the design of their power supply.  It's happened to me three times in the past few months.
The first time it happened, I haplessly stumbled onto the solution wisdos mentioned (unplugging it for a while) without realizing it.  I thought it just started working for no apparent reason.
The second time I tried all sorts of tricks (not remembering the fact that I'd disconnected the power for a period), spoke with Canon support several times and finally had to agree to have them send me a replacement printer.
I'll skip the part about not being able to get the old printer's print head and inks out to put in the new one because it wouldn't budge without the power being on.
Now, with second printer and a five-second power failure, the same deal... won't turn on.  This time I pulled the power cord from the printer and let it sit for a few hours.  Plugged it back in and it came on.
The maddening thing is that Canon support didn't want to escalate this to someone who might understand the power supply and diagnose the problem properly... their solution was to send out a new printer.  What a waste of time, money, and effort.

Apple LaserWriter 8500 not turning on

There is a glass-tube fuse inside, near the power switch that blew on mine a couple of years ago. Being the curious type, I popped off the side cover to see if there was any obvious reason, loose connectors, burned resistors, etc., and found the blown fuse. Can't remember where I got the replacement, but think it was Radio Shack. It's a common type.
