Question about Panasonic SC-HT920 System

1 Answer

DVD backups Recently some of my DVD backups are messing up, they will skip or have problems with the picture. They worked fine before but now some of them don't. I have checked the disc's for dirt and scratches and find none. I do not have any problems with the originals. I have had my system for over 3 years. It was pretty dusty where I lived, could the inside of the system need cleaning? I would appreciate any help with this. Thank you very much. Rebecca

Sounds like it does need cleaned, You can buy a dvd lens cleaner at any supermarket or electronics store. there are 2 types, one with brushes and one with liquid, In my experience both work just as well. Shouldnt be any more than $15 for a good one

JVC TH-C30 dvd movies skip

Check your formatting on the DVD recorder, you need to finalize the disk to be playable on "any" player. That should solve the issue. Your JVC is looking for specific code as it reads the disc, when it's missing or not understood by your JVC it will either stop play or skip over it's interperated missing info. Hope this helps

All dvds skips evan brand new ones

Return the unit to the store which you purchased it from. You have an internal problem with the scanner (led) You can first try to clean the led this could be your problem. They sell lens cleaning dvd disks. try it, you have nothing to loose. If this does not work, just bring it back.
