If you can pull the blade away from the clipper without pressing the blade release button then either the hook on the Latch is broken (which will mean all blades have the same problem) or the blade socket on the blade may need adjustment or replacement. Please view the part in question Latch
Most common cause will be the blades have gone dull and should be
sharpened or replaced. Check that the 2 screws on the blade latch assy
are tight where it screws onto the front housing, blade off to check
them. 3rd thing to check is for excessive wear in the lever that drives the blades, if it is worn replace it.
Make sure you are putting the blades on with the clippers running otherwise the blade will not locate correctly. Failing that it could b e a broken 'latch' AGC
Either your blades need cleaning and oiling or it's possibly a faulty armature without testing the clippers and part mentioned with a multimeter it's hard to say. Armature
ok you need to take the upper cassing off, remove the hinge assembly and the circuit board now the motor unit should come away from the lower cassing.
remove the clips holding the carbon brushes in place beware there are springs behind these clips, remove the two long black clips holding the front and rear motor frames to the field coil and then pull apart. This will allow access to the armature and then simply unscrew the drive cam.
Totaly dismantle all the parts of your Andis AGC clipper.
There is little needed most componets such as the motor and carbon brushes are fairly complicated and should be checked when the units are serviced.
Keep an eye on the Blade Drive Assembly as with most clippers they wear on the sides causing cutting problems such as lines in cut fur and snagging blades, alternatively send them, to our Clipper Repair department.
No need to replace the clipper they are usually well worth repairing.
This sounds like a problem with you power cable they are just under £10, try moving the cable in different directions around the rubber strain relief coming out of the clipper.
