Have a Canon Multi Pass F50 that keeps saying "wrong cartridge".. I did clean head with many clean water baths. I got a 10 second successful page print and then the error message again. I have shopped for the head replacement QY6-0034 and none are available

This is not head problem my dear this is cartridge problem, that your cartridge in not genuine, take the new cartridge in nearest canon showroom, because duplicate cartridge make this "error".

"Wrong Cartridge" - what to try next?

Cleaning won't help this one, you need a new printhead,QY6-0034-010. It only says wrong cartridge when the printhead is burned out.

You just need a new printhead, wrong cartridge on a Canon means the printhead is worn out.

Wrong cartridge means the printhead has gone bad, no amount of cleaning will help. Sorry about the poor advice, but you just need a new printhead.QY6-0034-010 around $45.00

Canon MP F50 "wrong cartridge" error

remove all cartridges leaving printhead intact.
close cover, turn off
turn on, let power up, error message should be gone.
open cover, reinstall cartridges
if you cleaned your print head like I did you'll probly
eventually end up getting a new one anyway, due to the color variations
but I can at least print text.

Error message ''wrong cartridge''

I don't know how in the world this worked but it did..on the F50 multipass.

1: Remove Cartridges
2: Unplug the AC Power Cord
3: Hold down the RESUME button
4: Release RESUME after plugging in the AC Power cord.
5: Press the RESUME once within 5 seconds and release the RESUME .
6: Press and HOLD RESUME for two seconds or more and release it.
7: Press and HOLD RESUME for two seconds or more and release it.
8: Unplug AC Power Cord to set data.

Wrong cartridge messsage

Hi, Please follow :
1. Reseat F30 / F50 print head 2. The Print Head may need replacing - F50 3. Press ON/OFF switch to reset the multifunction device 4. The F50 may require repair

Wrong Cartridge Error Message

The Print Head might be the fault of that,try replacing the print head and see if that helps
