I think a virus running real slow

Hello,

If it's in the internet browser only and not the whole computer, then try using a different website browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Safari.

If the whole computer is slowing down, then run a full anti-virus scan. If no viruses are found, then do a disc clean up. GO to start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disc Clean up

Delete all unneccessary files. Just put a check mark on all. After that, restart your computer. Install or update the device drivers - You can use RadarSync to update them all so that you won't miss any outdated driver in the computer.

I hope this helps!

If you have any questions, please drop me a line.

Service packs not cleaning up properly

(sited from http://www.winxptutor.com/randomfolders.htm)

When you install Windows XP SP1, SP1a or SP2, this temporary folder is created on the volume that has the most free space. The folder name contains random characters, and is not always created on the same volume as the Windows folder. For example, this temporary folder may have the following random names:
9470bb12e8a4f3447657236478e41c5
or similar.
352b81d1c4bf3810e28482d9979

This folder is automatically deleted by Windows XP after you install the service pack. However, if the folder is not automatically deleted by Windows XP, you can safely delete this folder.

Please Note:
In most cases, you will receive an Access denied message while accessing or deleting this folder. First, you'll need to Take Ownership of the folder and then delete it safely.

Hp g6000 running very slow any suggestions.

The HP g6000 slow issue can be caused by many many reasons such as outdated hardware, overload startup programs, corrupt registry issues, too many junks, virus attack, poor security software taking too much system resources, remnants of uninstalled applications etc. The fact is, you should keep some system maintenance job regularly. If you don't want to do these manually, try the solution http://www.speeduphp.com/fix-slow-hp.html to give a free & full scan of your slow HP PC to find & fix all possible issues.

Meanwhile, upgrading hardware configuration (add RAM, change a new video card, larger-volume HDD etc) can be a fast yet effective way to improve your pc performance.

try to examine your system: how much memory do you have installed? how many programs are running or installed? what player are you using? are the enhancements of the player active? these are just some of the things you will have to consider in system with slow performance. you can initially do the following: click start, click run, type msconfig on run window, select startup tab, click disable all, then apply and ok or close whichever is available. also try to unistall unneccessary programs, delete temporay internet files and other files not worth keeping.
