Question about Amana AEW4530DDS Electric Single Oven
My Mom has an old Amana Electric oven with a self clean feature but we're not sure how it works. There is a "clean" setting on one of the dials and a door lock but nothing happens when we lock the door and turn the dial. Should we set the temp for 500 and then use the clean setting? It's an old stove and we no longer have the manual. Thanks!
Can you locate the model number on the oven? Also any particular name of the stove? The manufactured year. These should all be available on a stainless steel or aluminum attached plate , probably on the back of the stove or inside the door.
I wouldn't try using the self cleaning feature until we get some advice. it could lock up on you and not UNLOCK. Normally self cleaning takes place at 600 or more degrees .
I'm sure others still have the same stove., I will see what I can find for you.
