The panel is a filter that should be cleaned out regularly - the filter is also connected to the drain pump which rids the washer of the water. When you clean the filter out - make sure you have a bowl or tupperware handy that holds about 2 quarts - slowly remove the filter and the water will drain into the bowl. Cleanout any debris and reassemble. If the leak continues - opem the front cover and examine the hose connections in the filter / drain pump area - the oring on the drain pump is the most likely culprit.

The leaks in a washing machine could be coming from many different places in the washer.

The first place you need to check is behind the washer, check the two fill hoses and the water mixing valve.

The next thing to do is to remove the front panel, set the washer on the regular cycle and turn it on to start filling.

Use a drop light and check all the hoses under the washer as the washer is filling. Make sure to keep your hands away from any moving parts.

If the hoses are ok, check the pump for leaks. When the bearings in the pump wear out, that is when the pump will get noisy and that could cause your Maytag top load washing machine water leaks.

Another place that the washer could leak water from, is the stem & seal on the holding tank. When washer leaks water from the stem & seal, the water leaks down the center of the transmission.

When the stem & seal need to be replace, the tub bearing has to be replace at the same time. This is an expensive repair if you have to pay someone to do it. If you do it yourself it will cost you about $110

Not draining?

Check the pump cleanout. You have to either remove the lower front panel or some have a little door you remove from the front bottom right. There is a @ 2'' plug to unscrew. Put a low pan under it to catch water, unscrew it and clean it out. Should drain after that.

Spin is not working in my lg washing machine

See if there is still some water left in the tub, which would indicate a drain issue. A front load WM will not go into high speed spin if it detects excess water in the tub. If there is water, there may be a small door at the bottom of the front that leads to a drain pump cleanout. You would not believe the things I have found that can block a drain pump. Have a wet vac and towels ready, because all the water remaining in the WM will have to be sucked out as you open the cleanout. If your problem is not excess water, it could be a control issue or a problem with the stator motor at the rear of the tub. You would probably need a service tech to check it out then.

I have an Axxis+ washer/dryer. The washer is giving me an F:34 error, any ideas?

you can try this I had one of these the other day. On the bottom front of the washer you will find a round access cover, rotate it to the right to remove it, inside you will find a green cord to manually unluck the door, pull it down. Door should now be unlocked. Chances are the door won't unluck because the wash water is not draining from the washer due to a clogged drain pump. Right behind that round access cover is the water pump. Before you open the pump cleanout, soak up all the remaining water inside the wash basket of the machine, or use a wet dry vacuum to vacuum up the water. Have a shallow pan and lots of bath towels to catch the water when you open up the drain pump cleanout. Check the drain pump cleanout for lint, small socks, coins and whatever gets left in pockets of clothes.http://servicetechhelp.com/discus/messages/2801/65423.html?1241057606

Whirlpool Frontloading duet HT retaining water in the tub

THE ONLY THING BETWEEN THE TUB AND THE DRAIN IS A
PUMP/MOTOR AND CONNECTING HOSES. THERE IS ALSO A CLEANOUT BEHIND THE FRONT LOWER PANEL. REMOVE THE PANEL BY REMOVING THE THREE SCREWS ALONG THE BOTTOM EDGE. PULL DOWN ON THE PANEL TO REMOVE IT. A LARGE CAP ON THE FRONT OF THE CLEANOUT CAN BE UNSCREWED TO REMOVE A FILTER.
CLEAN IT OUT AND INSPECT THE ENTRANCE INTO THE PUMP HOUSING. MAKE SURE IT IS CLEAR. REASSEMBLE AND CHECK OPERATIONS OF THE WASHER.
