The issue you're experiencing with your Samsung UN50EH5300FXZA TV cycling on and off when you press the menu or source keys could be due to a hardware malfunction in either the main board or the power board. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Power reset: Unplug the TV from the power source, wait for a minute, and then plug it back in.
Check the cables: Make sure all cables are securely connected to the TV and the wall outlet.
Check for firmware updates: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your TV and install them if necessary.
Factory reset: Perform a factory reset on the TV to erase all settings and return it to its original state.
Contact Samsung support: If the issue persists after trying these steps, contact Samsung support for further assistance. They may be able to diagnose and resolve the issue.
Murphy's law says that the tv only does what it is told. No flashes on it's own? Check the remote battery's first easiest. Then open the remote to see if these is dirt or dust in the keypad. If some liquid got in there clean with solvent on a rag. Don't put the solvent on anything else. Wipe off the sending unit on the front of the remote with damp rag. If this does nothing then blame the tv or get another remote to try out.
