I asked for info on how to reformat my Sansa m250 and they sent me a response on how to reformat the e250 - they are not the same piece of equipment. Please retry.

I guess I am blind but I do not see anything that remotely resembles information on how to reformat my SanDisk Sansa M250 - the only thing that it shows is how to reformat an E250 - they are two different mp3 players. Please advise.

I called San Disk directly and they walked me through in 60 seconds. Thanks anyway!

How do you put songs on to a sana M250 mp3 ?

The SanDisk Sansa m200 cooperates well with Windows Media Player 10 and subscription-based applications such as Napster To Go; it works without a hitch via drag and drop in Windows Explorer, even automatically organizing your files.

What type of formatting did you do? I suggest that you could try to hard reset by

  1. Turning off the Sansa. Just pull the battery out for a second and then reinstall the battery without pushing any further buttons.
  2. Plug the Sansa into a computer, and open "My Documents" in the computer.
  3. Open the Sansa file as if it were a drive, then go to the "MUSIC Specific storage" file.
  4. Right click the "MUSIC Specific storage" file, and press "Format."
This should hard reset the Sansa m250. This solution has worked for me.

I do not know if this will work on other Sansa m200 type .mp3 players.
