Thanks for the link - I was hoping this might be an updated version of the paper manual I received with the device. The manual doesn't actually say how the device is operated!

For instance, for some interval after entering the code + 0, pushing any button will operate the opener (both to close and open again). But how long is that interval? Not specified... Pretty lame.

Having same problem with my Craftsman as martinb1, except 4# for my ID. I even tried waiting between intervals a few seconds and still nothing. Is there a way to speak with live rep through manufacturer? # just repeats same walk through steps.

I just learn that a hard way!
Read manual!
It said there: wait until lights turn off! ! Wait a bit, light off.
Try now. Mine works perfect.

Im having the same problem. I am waiting until the light turns off on the keypad and the motor unit with the Smart Button, but I still cannot get it to program.

My garage door opening is a Wayne Dalton Quantum 3213 but I cannot get the KLICK2U to work with it. the Qunatum's learning button, when pushed once goes a solid red. However, if I press it a second time, it flashes red and a third time makes it flash a little faster. So, do i press the learning button once, twice or three times?

I'm assuming that 9 is the ID code I need to put in as the instructions tell me. so here is what I did:
1. held * and # until the keypad stopped flashing.
2. entered in my four digit code and then #
3. entered in 9 and then #
4. pressed the Learning Button once.
5. entered in four digit code and then 0 (tried it also by pressing 0 twice in this step).
6. waited until the Learning Button turned off on the Quantum garage door opener
7. entered four digit code and then 0.

Noting happens!

How do i reprogram garage opener model 139.53776

To ensure that old codes do not work, first press and hold the SR code button (Learn) on the garage door opener's control panel. Hold the button until the LED goes out. The Learn button is a colored button that is usually on the back panel to the left of the force and up/down adjustment knobs. Sometimes the control panel is on the side of the unit.

Next get a helper to make the programming easier. One person will need to press and release the Learn button. Then within 30 seconds, the second person (or a fast moving individual) needs to type in a 4 digit code and press the enter key on the key pad. The LED near the learn button will flash when the code is received.

If you reset all of the codes, you'll need to repeat the fast press and release of the Learn button. Then press a control button on the remote for most of your other door opener remotes. (There may be a pair of remotes that came with the garage door opener that will never be forgotten.)

I hope this helps.

(This works for all of the Craftsman door openers that I've dealt with.)
