We have a soleusair portable heat pump air conditioner PH5(S) series. The tank full light is on and won't go off. We have drained the unit and still the light stays on. We are trying to use as a heater but with the tank full light on it won't get warm. Any suggestions?
Remove the water tank and look or feel up to where the float is at and see if it is stuck in the raised position. This is what is keeping the light on and not letting the compressor start.

Hi Kathleen King - Typically when the error code P1 displays on panel it indicates that the unit has a sensor error. I would recommend contacting a professional to accurately diagnose and repair the unit.
Actually, what you're seeing if "FL". It indicates that the water collection tank is full and needs to be emptied. Once that's accomplished the unit will operate again, as it should. Be sure to turn the unit OFF & unplug it, before draining the tank.
Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.
If the water collection tank is full, it will not turn ON. Since you said the unit worked fine for one day and now it won't turn ON, more than likely, that's the problem. After draining the tank, the unit should reset itself and turn ON like it should.
The drain plug is on the rear of the unit, just above floor level. You can either drain it into a low sided pan or bowl that's capable of holding up yo a quart of water. O r roll the unit to a floor drain or outside to drain it. If you choose to drain it into a pan, turn the unit OFF & unplug it, before draining it.
I hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa
The easiest way, is to tilt it over slightly when you drain it. But, be very careful doing this, as the unit has caster wheels and you don't want it to get away from you. If you have a helper, so much the better. Remember to always turn the unit OFF & Unplug it, before draining the water from the tank.
I hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.
