Connecting a behringer djx700 mixer to a panasonic amp

Hi, i have lost a lot of sound quality when connecting a behringer djx700 mixer to a panasonic amp, while playing through a turntable. The connection is made from the master sockets on the mixer to the AUX connection on the amp. Is a loss of sound quality normal or have i got my connections wrong. Thanks.

The problem is most likely between the turntable and mixer. You need to be sure that the turntable is connected to a phono input. I'm not sure if your mixer has one. If not, you need to have a phono pre-amp between the turntable and the line input on the mixer.

Check that first and get back to us if you still have problems/questions.

Here is alink to the manual:http://www.behringer.com/EN/downloads/pdf/DJX750_P0956_M_EN.pdf You should have no problems hooking them up (RCA to RCA). I've been using a Behringer XenyX1222FX board in my recording system for about 4 years now and have been quite satisfied with it's reliability. Try to find a dealer who will demo the mixer for you.

Semiconductor things involved with sending the booth signals into the mains are:

IC2 which is a 5241 gate controlled by MIC_ON.

IC30 4580 summer for MIC and BOOTH.

IC53 4580 inversion and gain control.

IC39 4580 MAIN output drivers.

I don't know what you are trying to do. But your mixers needs analog inputs such as cd players or turntables.

How do I connect my behringer mixer desk to

The first thing to do is to swap teh L & R INPUTS to the amplifier. Did the speaker that works change?
If som the problem is with the setting of the mixer deck. If it did not change, then the problem is with your speaker wiring of the dead speaker, the speaker itself, or that side of the amp.
If the working speaker did swap, that means problem is with the mixer. The question then becomes how are you connecting to the mixer. You should be using TRS 1/4 inch connectors or preferably XLR from the MAIN outputs. These are balanced outputs connections.
If the inputs are from one of the mono inputs, the PAN control for that channel will control how much goes to each speaker... If at center, both will get same signal.
There are so many possibilities that I can't evaluate them until you try the test to find if it is problem of the amp or the mixer that I have given you to try.

Not loud enough, sound is low. plays well but very low sound

Hi, sounds to me like you have got it connected to your amp via an aux or cd input. Turntables need to be connected via phono input. If no phono input is available you need to run it through a mixer or preamp first then into your amp. I recommend you get a good quality preamp with RIAA EQ curve included. I have designed and built our own Styluscity branded preamp. There are cheaper options on the market however when it comes to audio products quality is very much relevant to cost. Cheers john. How do I use my laptop like turntables, PLEASE HELP

A trip to your local Radio Shack should solve your problem with the purchase of a mini phone jack to double RCA type (red and white) leads cable.

Jack into the audio out of your Macbook and into the input of your choice on the mixer with the RCA jacks and you are good to go.

I'd recommend either the UCA 202 or the UCA 222. Both are Behringer products and the 222 comes with a software bundle. Check out the energy XTC software, I downloaded it and am having fun with it already.
