Reg:- Laptop OS booting Problem

It means that you do not have a hard drive that can be booted to start the OS, or that your had drive is defective, or the boot sector of the hard drive is missing or corrupted.

Have you installed the Windows OS on the new HDD? Insert the new Windows OS in the DVD rom drive, shut down, Unplug, remove battery, plug in, at boot the new OS DVD should start and ask Press any key to boot from CD/DVD, tap key.

You will need a WinXP CD....
insert the CD and re-boot...
if boot seq is not set to boot from CD change it
restart PC...immediatly press either (F1, F2, Del) key to got to BIOS menu....
look for boot seq,
change the 1st boot dev to CD/DVd rom
save and exit BIOS menu
re-boot....
let the PC boot from CD
follow on screen inst...to reapir the OS or reinstall OS

Hi there please try the steps below mentioned.
Please restart your laptop when its booting press F8 key .

You will find few option asking for selection. Select that by using up/down arrow key. Select " Last know good configuration" & press Enter. NO w select the OS & enter again. Laptop restart automatically. After that If no success then format the Operating system & reinstall again.

when you used the Reg Easy it wipped out some of your files that are required to boot. You have no choice but to do a complete reinstall. sorry for the bad news

to install OS in laptop,its like to install OS to PC.
1.Set up Bios <with pres key "Delete" or "F1" or "F2">Booting Priority (chose Boot from CD/DVD Room).
2.Save and exit (with pres "F10")
3.Wait until text > "Pres any key for Boot from CD/DVD..." you pres any key before the text disapear.
4.and follow the instruction...

Check whether the hard drive is detected in the BIOS or not.

Remove the hard drive & wait for 3 minutes and reseat the hard drive.

Check whether all the cables are connected properly.

Try doing flea power & the power cycle.

1. Disconnect all the peripherals like keyboard,mouse,printer, scanner & monitor and power supply from the CPU.

And press & hold the power button for 1 min, it will release the flea power from the mother board.

Restart the system & check.

2. Disconnect everything.wait for 5-10 minutes and then connect every thing & start the system.

Restart the system.

In this case you can make use of the system restore.

For XP :

Boot in to safe made by pressing F8 key(function key 8) can be found on the top row of the keyboard.

login to your account & start the system restore from start-all programs-accessories-system tools-system restore.

select the date on which it is working fine.

After completion the system will restart automatically.

Now you can boot normally.

If the system restore doesnt help reinstall the whole OS. 

If the hard drive is detected then you can now install the OS by changing the boot priority device to the cd.
