Question about Heating & Cooling
I bought a new Frigidaire air unit in May 2007- a couple months later the compressor stopped working and had it replaced by an authorized repair person- the service was terrible and it took over a month to get fixed- anyway I am stuck with this unit and after a couple weeks it started making a very loud buzzing noise every 20 minutes or so- can hear it a couple houses down from us. The compressor is still under warranty but a service diagnostic call is around $100 which I have to pay cause we have passed the 1 year mark-do not know if its worth it since the unit cost $350 .
I would invest in a new unit the cost to get this one repaired will add up and theres no guarantee they will fix the problem
