The ink absorbers are in the bottom of the machine and the engine will need to come out to replace them. Its a very big job and well out of the scope of a user to fix. Also a canon engineer will be able to reset the message at the same time. If the absorbers are not changed then ink will flow out of the machine but it will probably stop before that happens.

Srri for the bad news.

My Cannon pixma 280 printer wont print it says error 5B00 What can I do?

The reason behind the canon printer error 5b00 is when the system continuously fills the ink tank and the printer stops to absorb that and hence we come to face this error.

Here are few steps which will help you in fixing canon printer error 5b00:

1.Reset The Waste Ink System Count First: the first method to solve this error is to reset the waste ink. By applying this method you can get out of the error which is troubling you.
2. Manually clean the Waste Ink Foam: to clean the waste foam you have to open the front cover of the printer. Now you have to remove the cartridges one by one and then clean the rollers. Now check whether your error is gone or not.

So, these are the steps to solve the error. If you found the error is still there, then you have to visit an expert.

Tank absorber full and lights blinking

The POWER Lamp Flashes Orange Eight flashes: Waste ink tank almost full
The printer has a built-in waste ink tank for the ink used during print head cleaning. Eight flashes indicates that the waste ink tank is nearly full. Press the RESUME/CANCEL button to cancel the error so you can continue printing. Before the waste ink tank becomes completely full, contact a Canon service representative.

Note
Canon recommends that you call for service as soon as this error occurs. Once the waste ink tank becomes completely full, printing will no longer be possible.

Waste ink tank over flowing??

Hi, like every ink jet printer, there should be an ink pad(spunch) at the bottom of the printer to collect the waste. That spunch might be full of ink. You could locate it, remove and try to clean it under the water. See if it works

Waste ink tank full

normally, the logical solution is to replace your waste ink tank, but I have tried a solution which could make your canon printer function again.

Try this: With your printer turned ON, press and hold the I/O switch then pull off the power cord. This will turn off your printer. But without lifting your finger on the I/O switch put back your power cord. the I/O switch will blink for a second and will go off, then turn-on your printer again and see if it works.

Canon i350 printer waste ink tray full.

according to cannon the Waste ink ABORBER not tank is getting full. To clear this error press resume and print button. But this will only fix your problem if at all for a short time as this is not considered user replaceable part. You can contact canon on line at http://consumer.usa.canon.com Good luck
