Product is 17 months old and there is a problem with the colours. Dark colours are green, and light backgrounds have a pink glare. Looks like a "colour negative". There is a green glow around the edge of the whole picture. It's a bit better in movie mode, but terrible in standard and dynamic modes. tried adjusting the colour, contrast, brightness, warm and cool modes, but it doesn't improve.

Hi, I have a Samsung LN40A550 LCD TV which I have had for just over a year. ... I was watching TV yesterday and all of a sudden the picture went all. ... started makinga very high pitched buzzing sound with no picuture coming on. We did have a bunch of green vertical lines, but now just a black screen.
The LCD screen is going bad. The green spots are where the LCD junction is not being activated by the voltage. This usually happens when the screen is begining to malfunction. Also I would check the connectors between the screen and the screen driver board.
I hope this helps
