Question about HP Officejet 5610 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Copying problem in HP 5610 officejet all in one.

All functions except copy function were working but with the continue warning blinking light. ( with the display Insert Cartridge on left). My printer, scanner and fax are working ok but when i press copy button display shows unable to copy. Please help if you can?.

Take out both the ink cartridges from the All-In-One.
Unplug the power cable from the All-In-One when there is still power in the unit.
Also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet end.
Leave it unplugged for at least 1Mins time.
Clean the metal contacts in the ink cartridge as well as the the inside of the All-In-One with a lint free cloth a little water (It should only be moistened with water not soaked) and make sure you will not touch the metal contacts with your hands.
Insert the ink cartridges back to the printer make sure they are not wet.
And connect the power cord directly to wall outlet without the surg protector.
And before connecting it to the All-In-One press and hold the # and No 6 Button in the All-In-One and insert the power cord without releasing the keys untill it comes up with a message as semiful reset or if the screen goes blank then release the keys and turn the power on.
And if it prints a test page it is fine.
Now try and make a copy and check.

    After the power on the Align page came on, and printed the align page which I placed faced down on the glass and pressed OK. But the power light kept on blinking for over ten minutes without the scanner flashing even once or moving down the glass. No other error message was displayed.
    Let me know if you have any other ideas.

Will it color copy- stand alone? Try making a copy on the printer by itself. If the copy is still printing in blue, then go to the service section in the menus, and clean the print head, if that does not work then try the recalibrate function. -If the copy comes out fine when you try it stand alone, try deleting the printer and reinstalling the printer.

HP Officejet Pro 8600 vertical lines on all copies


I had the same problem; it happened with the first copy I tried to make directly from the printer's console - but only with the Black ink function - with the same original on the flatbed glass I then tried the Color function and it worked fine. But when I tried the Black copy function, the strong vertical lines appeared again - about 7, evenly spaced across the page and running the entire length of the page.

Nothing about cleaning any part made sense: the printer was brand new, out of the box, the color ink function worked fine to copy; so did making scan copies. It was only the black ink mode in the copy function with the original on the flatbed glass that produced the vertical lines.

What cleared it up was shutting it down, removing and re-inserting the power cord the other way, i.e., turning it around (which might have nothing to do with the outcome) and Voila! - no vertical lines with the black ink copy function - Go figure...

Try to reset the printer:

Unplug the printer from power

Hold the # and 9 together while plugging it back

If still not working try again with a # and 3 combination

HP copy function 'device not responding or is disconnected'


Did it work at all once you reloaded the software? Is the computer recognizing it in devices and printers? If it is present, right click on the printer, go down to properties and troubleshoot.... Let me know

Scanner won't work


did you try the copier function?if you can copy documents then the scanner is good,well if it wont works you cant print neither..but as you said you get a print out.reinstall it carefully and slowly..the logic board has no problem,just focus on the driver..

Can't Scan


In order to scan it must be connected to your computer with a scanning program running. You can still make copies with the copy function, but it won't scan unless the HP scan software is running.

Hp d135 copy function makes copy in green instead of black


ur tri color cartridge may have run out. change it and try again. if it doesn't work try calibrating ur scanner.
