Final Cut Express Audio Problems

I was editing using FC and I was marking an in point and I left the mac for a while, when I went back to it to mark the out point on the clip the audio and video were out of sync. This is the case on about 50% of the other footage but the rest is ok. Any ideas what I've done or how to fix it?

I have the same problem. I recorded a few simple interviews with my iSight camera on my MacBook, using a snowball microphone. When I start editing everything is fine. But as soon as I mark a new (second) in and out point, the audio is no longer lined up with the video. ideas?

Not able to down load video from my Panasonic videto Mac Pro 3.1

Basically mac does not like USB, it is bad and uses burst of information not suitable to video so FCP kinda ignores the option. It works ok for the transfer of non-realtime info. Can you not use DV to FW. Loads of people are having this issue as MAC have dropped it with the new MacBook to in my opinion force people to buy MBP.

How to edit MTS files on Mac

Video editing software on Mac like iMovie, Final Cut Express, and Final Cut Pro still have big troubles in recognizing footages shot by AVCHD camcorders. The problem is especially obvious for those people who do not have the latest version of these editors. Because these AVCHD cameras such as Canon HF S11, HF S200, JVC GZ-HD620, Panasonic AG-HMC40, etc. are all recording videos in the format of MTS or M2TS, which have not got native supports from the above mentioned Mac editors to full extent. To make MTS files possible for editing on Mac, here I would recommend you Pavtube MTS/M2TS Converter for Mac, which will convert MTS to MOV and other container formats that are accepted by often used Mac editors-iMovie, Final Cut Express, and Final Cut Pro. The application works well on Mac OS X and handles TS, TP, M2TS, M2T format as well. The following guide tells you how to convert MTS files to a workable format for editing on Mac step by step. If you are frustrated by the similar problem, please read on it to find out the solution.
1. Run Pavtube MTS/M2TS Converter for Mac and click "Add" button to load MTS files shot by your camcorder to this program.

2. Click on the drop-down menu of "Format" to select a compatible format for your iMovie, Final Cut Express, or Final Cut Pro. I select "MOV-QuickTime (*.mov)" as an example.

3. Click "Settings" button to adjust audio and video parameters
You are allowed to adjust audio and video parameters like codec name, bit rate, aspect ratio, frame rate, and audio channel in the following window. In principle, the larger input values, the larger file size, but accompanying with the better file quality; the smaller input value, the smaller file size, but accompanying with inferior file quality. That is to say, if you want to do advance settings, you’d better make a balance between the file size and the file quality.

4. Start converting MTS files
Once all the above settings are finished, you can click "Convert" button to start converting MTS/M2TS AVCHD files into iMovie, FCP or FCE supported format. The interface below will show you clearly about conversion progress, time elapse, left time, generated file size, and estimated file size. After conversion is done, you can easily find out the output files for editing via clicking "Open" button.

The end! Hope this helps.
