Make sure all connections are good and that they are in the right ports. green is speakers, pink is microphone, and blue is line out. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver, and download the latest version from the manufacturer's website. If the sound icon in the bottom right on the taskbar shows a speaker with an x through it, try going into device manager-sound and check to make sure your computer recognizes the card itself.

I can't hear any sound or listen to music on my pc. I have an Encore ENM232-60 Ver.6.0 Sound card

If you reinstalled Windows from a SP3 disk this can cause sonud card to fail. If this is you, reload from the supplied disks and make sure everything works before you do updates.

Sonud problem

many of the drivers are included with windows, IF you know which sound chips you have, you can look for under the manufacturer, either here on on their website.

I would want to check the device manager to see that is properly set first.

Sound of computer

Basically ya must go control panel ... Device Manager .....select ya sound adapter and "Remove hardware/Driver" when asked if ya want to completely remove .... say YES & finish.. Then restart ya PC, and windows will/should detect ya hardware/sound-card and ask for the "Drivers" point it to the "Drivers" either on CD or files on Hard Drive... IF windows doesn't "Detect" & "Just Work", Well then ya sound-card has probably faulted.. ya could try another PCI slot... to be sure... but it looks like at this stage ya drive is borked.
