No sound after connect my philips tv - Harman Kardon AVR 35 Receiver

The sound bar should be connected to the TV, either via the 'audio out's' on the back or bottom of the TV or via the headphone socket, usually on the front or side of the TV. It would help to know the make and model of the TV.

how do i turn the sound bar on

I am buying Philips HTS3530 home cinema, and I saw that there is some difficulties connecting it to Tv (40' Samsung smart Tv) Is there any cable which u need buy (i have HDMI).

To make sure that the external speaker is good or deffective try to use others speaker.If the other speaker work it means that your speaker is deffective and if the other speaker not work it means that the problem is the sound output amplifier or driver of the TV.You need to check the inner part othe TV.The board of the TV inside at the sound section, just fallow the speaker wire to the board,that is the sound section.Check if theres a loose connection.

Connect audio out cables (L and R) from HDTV to far left audio input at back of hts 3555. Then connect HDMI output from XBOX360 to HDMI input slot on TV. Setup XBOX 360 for audio through HDMI turn TV off and then on and all should be good. It worked for me.

Connect converter box to your DVD/VCR player at the ant in. Depending on your location you might need a new ant for UHF.

The Way Im understanding your problem is,
it seems like you need to hook your rcas directly to the tv and switch the surround to aux or something similar to that.

You must plug the t.v. audio out cables into an audio input on the philips. left and right audio rca jacks. then you must select that input on the philips to hear the tv. Lawrence
