TALLY 2030g matrix printer - paper loading problem
Our printer has been working fine for a long time but we have just changed the paper and are now received a message that says "load paper from single". The printer has stopped printing now and we have no idea how to solve this problem.
Re: TALLY 2030g matrix printer - paper loading problem
Ok...well..is the new paper the same as old? sometimes, when a printer handles a certain type of paper, for a long time, it becomes accustomed to that type, and will resist a new type of paper(kind of like us, eh)?
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

The paper path on the 2250 has changed to the single sheet feeder, I guess you are using tractor fed paper loaded into the standard front tractors, if this is the case you can change the paper path to Tractor 1 in the following way;
1.Power the printer off and disconnect the printer from the computer system. 2.Press and hold down the SETUP button, and power the printer on. Keep the SETUP button held down whilst the printer initialises (this unlocks the printer menu) 3.When the printer has finished initialising release the SETUP button. 4.Make sure that the printer is in Offline mode; press the Online key, if necessary. 5.Remove any paper that may be loaded into the printer. 6.Press the SETUP button 7.Press the button under PAPERPATH (button 3) 8.Press the button under TRACTOR 1 to select the tractor feed 9.Press the ONLUE button to exit the menu.
if you want change page setting in your printer ..... to get
the all settings of your printer press font button and switch on the
printer (before take setting make sure that you printer loaded with
paper ) goes through the instruction printed in the paper to change the
settings ........ change paper size.....
you can map your tally printer paper size in system .....go to printer and faxes ... file..>server properties ...>select create a new from ...> change the name as you wise and change the paper setting and click ok ........
while you give print change paper size to your created paper size and check
Sounds like the paper path has been changed I guess you are using the front Tractor (tractor 1) to load continuose paper.
You need to go into the menu and change the paper path back to Tractor 1.
Disconnect the pritner from the computer system, and power the printer off and back on again to clear the buffer.
Take the printer off-line by pressing the Online key
Press the Setup key
Press the key under "Paperway" in the display
Select Tractor 1 (or Tractor 2 if fitted/required)
Press the key under "Set"
This should change the paper way back to Tractor 1
Hopefully, you have paper in there!! LOL! Some times if the paper is not inserted correctly, the printer won't reqcognise that there is paper there, just pull it out and reinsert it, sometimes you have to do it maore than once.
Power ON printer holding down ONLINE button, release it after TESTMENU is on display. Press NEXT few times, enter APM or somthing like that (or APW? cant remember), switch it to OFF. Press ONLINE. Thats it! Greetings. ps. this is procedure direct from polish division of tallygenicom servicedesk. it works for me perfectly!!
When was the last time it was services? It may be nothing more than a dirty paper sensor.
Also, some Tally printer sensors require adjusting, it may be a simple matter of adjusting a sensor setting. That would require a technician with the manual and settings chart.
Let me know how it goes!
