Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Hoover Nextra fault code 1 actually decodes as 'door interlock/door switch' (???!!)
Fault code 2 states' fill time-out or solenoid valve etc'
If you have checked that the hot and cold water taps are turned on fully and the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, it is worth while checking both the hot and cold water inlet filters. Turn the taps off and remove both hoses at the washer end. Inside each inlet port there is normally a little filter which should just slide out. Clean if necessary and replace each one and the hoses. If after turning the taps back on there is no improvement, the problem is symptomatic of a malfunctioning hot or cold water control valve. Sorry but it needs a service call ;-0(
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck,
John C

Hoover nextra 7 program stops part way though

A possible fault that is consistent with your symptoms is that the water level sensing is confused. This is usually a column of water in a plastic tube bearing on a diaphragm switch which operates when the weight of water is sufficient to trip it.

The water level is adjusted by a dial which alters the pre-loading on the switch, meaning it needs a bigger or lesser column of water to trip it. If there is a leak in the tube, that would account for the water level trying to cycle. Any water underneath the machine? If so it is a good indicator that is the right track. If not it still may be that fault, but the leaking water is just not making it to the floor.

It is normal that the program suspends for filling, and it will not give rise to an error. Also normal is flow through the detergent drawer whenever there is a fill cycle. What is not normal is the repeated fill cycles.

Also investigate the actual switch associated with the level sensing. It might have bad contacts.

Please post what you eventually find the fault to be. Helps everyone, especially those trying to diagnose at a distance.

Hi,My daughters washing machine (Hoover Nextra HNL 842) fails to empty after washing cycle.(error code 3). I intend to check the pump and float switch.I can access the pump through the bottom of the...

You should have a drain filter. They do become clogged and need to be cleaned out. If the draine filter is clogged you will immediately know it upon removal and inspection. If this is the culprit, be sure to show your daughter how to access it, remove and clean it and then to reinstall it. This can be quite frequent (8 to 12 months) depending on her environment, like allot of pet hair and things like that. Let me know if this is the culprit. By the way, you are going to have to bail as much water out of the drum as posible unless your model has an easy water shut off just prior to the filter. Otherwise, all the water left in the drum will run out of the filter assembly when you remove it. With any luck the filter is the culprit and not the pump.

The water does not get pumped out of the machine

The filter is to be found at the bottom front left of washer behind a removeable plastic trim, if you can see a screw in the filter cover, undo this, and turn filter anticlockwise to remove.
If no filter at front, then remove rear panel of washer, and remove large black hose fastened to drum, check for blockage here, and check the pump at the same time.

Will wash but won't spin unless water syphoned off by draining through pipe into low bucket. So, the spin motor is ok, the pipe is not blocked... but the pump..... how can I get to clear out the pump?.......

Check to see if there is a filter located at the bottom front of washer behind plastic trim, if no filter, then remove rear panel of washer, and remove and check pump for blockage or malfunction.

Hotpoint ultima washing machine is showing a fault

F 05 normally means there is a blockage or a fault with the pressure sensor. The common place for blockage is in the black pipe from the drum to the pump as it has a filter in here and clogs up. remove the pipe and clean the filter out and remove gunk from the pressure sensor on the side of the pipe as well. If that does not fix things the pressure switch could be faulty itself

Hoover nextra washing machin3e , not draining

Yes Disconnect drain hose from the rear of washer. You will need to use special pliers that have notches in them to grab the hose clamp or you might need a Screw Driver if the hose clamp is a regular hose clamp. Remove clamp and flush washer hose with a high pressure hose or garden hose. Inspect drain where you took the hose off for any blockage. You might have to do this two or three times.Yet most of the time one time is good enougg. Good Luck!

My Hoover 1100 washer/dryer goes through its washing cycles fine but sometimes stops at the draining point. I suspected drain blockage, pulled out the rubber pipe at the bottom and found 7 coins there last...

I suspect this could be a 10p pivoting in the entrance to the filter housing. To remove it tilt the machine back and take off the pipe which is attached to the pump. Feel inside the plastic pipe and remove it.If there is no blockage the pump may have been damaged and will have to be replaced.
do post back if further assistance required.

Water not draing away and machine is not spinning

Empty your machine manually by lowering the drain hose into a bowl or bucket. Then remove the kick plate and check the filter for blockages. Before replacing try the machine on drain to see if the pump is running, if problem persists there may be a blockage in the pipe from the drum to the pump.

Error code 3

Error code 3 is a fault code related to draining you washing machine.
1. first check the drain pipe is not kinked or retricted.
2. Remove filter from washer and inspect for blockage.
3. Try blowing down the drain hole to release any foreign objects that may have become jammed.
