enable what? BIPS? never heard of it in the last 10 years, are you sure you are dealing with a PC tech there?!

Have you tested that the RAM on the computer IS OK?
Have you tested that the Video card on the machine is OK?

has any real troubleshooting been done on the machine?

if he just told you the motherboard was burned without doing any other testing you are dealing with a fraud.

not yet, don't buy anything yet.

restart your pc and after the pc does the memory check press the F8 button repeatedly.

you will get a list , choose vga mode.

once in vga mode, choose 800X600, close the setting page

restart your PC normally, your problem is solved.

Memory Upgrade - from 256DDR1 to 1GB DDR1

sysa007,
EliteGroup makes two mother boards, P4VMM2, (No Revisions) & (P4VMM2 revision 8.1). Since your question states your memory is 184 pin DIMM your board must be, v 8.1. What does not make sense is the motherboard has two memory slots total.
(If you have 4 memory slots on the MB than the MB can not be the P4VMM2). Below is the link for the P4VMM2 (v8.1).
http://www.ecsusa.com/ECSWebSite/Products/ProductsDetail.aspx?CategoryID=1&TypeID=1&DetailID=436&DetailName=Feature&MenuID=45&LanID=9

The P4VMM2 v 8.1 can only use, two Double Data Rate (DDR) SDRAM memory modules. These sockets support up to 1GB system memory using 184-pin unbuffered non-ECC PC2100 or PC1600 DDR DIMMs. The two DIMMS you are using must run at the same speed.
Example PC2100 266MHz. OR PC1600 266MHz.
Continuous beeping means the memory is not seated correctly.
When using only one DIMM it should be inserted in the slot closest to the CPU. Re-check your memory. Remove & reseat. Make sure the latches snap closed on each stick of memory while inserting. Below is all of ECS P4VMM motherboards;
http://www.ecsusa.com/ECSWebSite/SearchResult.aspx?q=P4VMM2&f=Products&MenuID=104&LanID=9

Good luck sysa007!

No image input and pc makes weird sounds on start up

Remove & reinstall all the memory sticks (reseat). If that did not fix the problem, remove all the memory sticks and reinstall them one at a time to test them in an effort to determine if one of them has gone bad. Use this same methodology to test all of your device cards.

Check to make sure the CPU fan wire is connected to the fan header on the motherboard and that the fan is operational. Most motherboards (especially AMD) require the CPU fan to be operational and connected to the motherboard to avoid frying the CPU. However, this requirement can be disabled in the bios to accomodate CPU fans that do not run off of the motherboard fan header.

Can you get into the bios? If so, I would suspect the CPU and memory are ok. Does the clock have the right time? If the time on the clock is wrong it could indicate your bios settings are not being maintained after you power down and you may need a new CMOS battery.

Usually a beeping motherboard is an indication of a hardware issue. The data on your hard drive is probably intact. If you need to retrieve some files from the drive for your graduation, you can always install the hard drive into a USB external hard drive enclosure and connect it to an oprational computer.

Hope this helps - good luck!

VIDeo CARD not working

You will need drivers for the FX5000 first, disable the driver for the one your using, shut down and then install the new FX5000, boot up and wait until the VGA comes on, it can take several mins sometimes.
