No, the 450 is just one of those machines that seem to have PCQ no matter what you do. Given light copies, I'd replace the drum for sure and make sure your ID sensor isn't covered with toner. Dust covered optics will also cause light copies on this model.
Thraser, your still battling this machine? Of course your readings will be off if you only have developer coverage over half the mag roller? That's where I would start. I also now wonder about your model #, because I don't think that the 450 has a VSDP reading, but the newer ones do. It refers to the "immediate post-pattern output" of the ID sensor -not surprised that these readings would be whacked!
Hello sir; Just follow the steps;
1, dump entire dv use vaccunm cleaner to cleanup don't leave any dv inside.
2, thorughly clean out magnet roller by rubbing alcohal.
3, pour in new dv evenly.
4.Do simulation 2801 & 2805, the procedure as follow;
press"clear mode", "107", press and hold "clear/stop" key for 3 seconds, then press 1 for copier sp then enter2801 press start, after that go to 2805. same procedure. Let me know the resolve.
You're talking about two really old machines, the 450 from 1998 & the 7025 from 2000. Both are about the same class, but I'd give the edge to Ricoh since it was also sold under a number of other brands & replacement parts are readily available. Hope this helps...
You have to have all the firmware in order to able to do that. It comes on a PCMCIA card that you plug into the copier. If you format the hard drive, there will be no way of getting the programs back unless you have that card.
There tough to get but I found a few of the cards on EBAY. Once you get that, then it's a matter of getting a hold of the software (if it isn't on the card already).
