Hi,

You have to take off the top from the machine.
When the top is off, turn the ring on the grinder anticlockwise to the tap is free.
Take off the ring and clean it.

My domestic worker washed the top inside part of my Aromatic coffee grinder with running water. Will this damage the inside electronics?

I don't know your grinder. But generally as long as it remains off until fully dry it won't be a problem. You will have to open it up and let it dry thoroughly, especially the current fuses enclosed in the wires running to the motor. Also you will have to now clean the grinder disks(assuming burr grinder) and dry them

I keep getting "Fill Coffee Bin" when the bin is

Sounds like the grinder is blocked. Set the grinder to the coarsest setting (largest number) and try a few more times. If still no luck then vacuum out all the beans, run the grinder again a couple of times and then add a small amount of fresh beans (not from a fridge or freezer as these will be moist and can cause problems) and try making coffee again. If after a few tries it still doesn't work then you will either have to remove the top grinder burr and clean both burrs (not recommended unless you are bit of a handy person) or you could try vacuuming out the beans again and letting the grinder dry out for a while (although unlikely, it could be wet from water spillage). Good luck hope this helps.

Attemps to gind but no beans seem to get through Then the display indicates 'add beans' although it is full

Machine thinks there are no beans because it is not grinding. Most likely the grinder is blocked. The common causes are a small foreign object, a stale hard bean and moisture (either from water spillage or moist beans). The first thing you should do is vacuum ALL the beans out, set it to the coarsest grind setting and run the grinder a few times ( with no beans). Then put a small amount of fresh beans (make sure they are dry and not from fridge or freezer) in and try again. Give it a few goes. If it still wont grind have a good look down there, if it looks wet let it dry out for a while and try again. If none of thes easy tips help you will have to remove the top grinder burr and clean both burrs. Good luck.

When machine grinds coffee it makes winding noise but does not grind coffee, hence you get water

This is a desgin flaw of this machine. Hapens when you use the machine over a long continous period. The water damp makes the grinder wet a it cakes up. The spring is supposed to remove the debris but does not work well. Remove beans form bean tray. Remove the bean tray (1 screw and pull the knob off). Use a vacuum cleaner to **** out the wet bean grind. Dry the wet damp area and use a tooth pick to remove the bean grind (especially around the scute). Let dry and assemble, Good luck!

Cleaned the machine and now the grinder does not grind any coffee, it sounds like its grinding but it keeps showing that I need to add beans after it attempts to grind. yes it has beans in it

Did you cleaned the grinder with any fluids? This will not help , the blades got wet and coffee grounds are stuck (cemented) on to the blades. You will have to cleaned the blades and KEEP it DRY.

My Jura S9's grinding unit clogged (due to Peete's beans)

Usually water in the grounds container is caused by the coffee solenoid valve return side being blocked from dry coffee. Using cleaning tubelets to clean the coffee grounds out. If that doesn't work then you should remove the solenoid and clean it out with warm water. If that still doesn't rid you of the wet grinds you should have a certified repair tech take a look at it. You may end up having to replace the solenoid but that should be verified by a tech before you spend the money.

Breville Die Cast 800ESXL Espresso Machine: Problem... Watery espresso. My machine worked great for a year, then all the sudden, the espresso is watery and the basket where the grinds are is full of water...

Hi,

Personnaly, when I use the big filter, the grinds are dry after the extraction, but for the small filter, it's all soggy. If you look at the documentation, ( http://kitchen.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/breville/breville_coffeemaker_product_list.html) they say wet coffee grind after extraction is normal.
But did you change the coffee brand ? Or the grinding level ? How do you grind your coffee ? I had big troubbles once with a commercial grinder at my grocery store, it's when I decided to buy my own Breville grinder.

Good luck,

JF

This is a duplicate, here's the answer

I have the same problem but it's easy to fix. Turn the machine off. Open the front panel. Remove the dump box on the side. Pull the grinder unit out.

Look at the thing you just pulled out. You'll see a little ramp going from where everything slides down from the top. That ramp gets damp and the freshly ground coffee starts sticking on it. Take your finger and wipe it off.

Next, is kinda hard to describe. If you put your fingers inside, along the top, center edge of the machine you'll feel a ridge. It's a spring loaded door. Pull it down and clean the grounds out.

Slap it back together and you're good to go. Only takes about a minute when you get the hang of it.
