A complete model number for your card would help. I have no idea how old or what kind of system you have, or version of Windows but, if you card number is R6670-MD1GD5, this card is for late model systems. From what I can tell it is 2.1 x 16 slot so, your system might not support that, and, it's a pretty serious card. I can't find a power rating but, I would not be suprised if it requires at least 350w. If you don't have the system to support this card, you will ahve to update or, get a different card.

in the bios, there are usually settings for onboard devices. try turning off your onboard vga in the bios. and/or enabling/disabling pci-e video settings in the bios. it also helpful to ensure there is a monitor plugged into the video card. if there are 2 video outputs on the new card, try plugging the monitor into one, reboot, if nothing shows up, plug the monitor in the other one, reboot, if nothing shows up; i dont know :)

My graphic card can not support my msi motherboard p4900m2l

You mean your motherboard won't support your graphics card.

The 'port' is a PCI-Express x16 slot,

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/P4M900M2-L.html#/?div=Basic

Drivers are small pieces of software that allow an Operating System, to 'communicate' with a device.

Windows XP and Windows 7 are two examples of an O/S.
Operating System.

The Nvidia GeForce 8400GS is an example of a device.

Windows operating load the software FIRST.
Then power off, power unplugged, Anti-Static Precautions FOLLOWED, physically install the graphics card.

If not you may get a driver conflict.

Primer:
When a device is installed on a computer with Windows on it, Windows will 'break it's neck' to find suitable drivers.

If THE drivers are not there, Windows will match up one of it's THOUSANDS of generic drivers.

This = No

Then let's say, you come along after physically installing the graphics card, and install the software off of the installation disk.

Windows: "Which drivers do I use? These or THESE?"

Driver conflict

Now,....which scenario do you follow?

1) Have not installed the software yet,
or
2) Have installed the graphics card FIRST, then installed the software.
