I don't think Gigabyte did any drivers for this motherboard for windows 7. You could try the generic divers on the realtek site.

Then select the AC97 codes the version 7.094 is the win 7 one. It should work.

There is no sound driver for your motherboard. Your motherboard is not Windows 7 ready. It is too old! Before you installed windows 7 did you run the windows 7 checker? It is available on the Windows website.

if your computer is asking for a driver when you insert the windows 7 disc your motherboard maight not support windows 7 if its older than 5 yrs also you need a minimum of 2 GB of ram to support windows 7

well its ensured by me that intel dont provides any further driver for this model of motherboard . roll back to windows xp

In regards to your sound not working in Windows 7 I can tell you that Windows 7 does handle audio differently then XP did. So you will need to go to the sound card manufactures web page to get the updated drivers for Windows 7. If it is intergated on the motherboard you will need to go to their site to get the audio driver. Note since Windows 7 just came out they may not have a driver yet. However in most cases the Windows Vista drivers would be the same so if the only have Windows Vista drivers you can try them.

I installed windows 7 on my computer and I actually was able to load the vista driver for my hardware.

If your motherboard has a vista driver available for the sound, try that and see if it works. If it doesn't then you know that the motherboard won't fully support windows 7.

Your motherboard graphics doesn't support windows 7. There is no driver ever made for that motherboard graphics that will support windows 7.
