My player (sansa clip 2gb)won't read tags (artist, album ...)

You check your songs from your computer first; Right click on one of songs, select Properties, select Summary tab (check Artist, Album Title, and Title). If they are there, you should update new firmware (search SANDISK FORUM from google). If they are empty, it's right for device display the filename.

Root menu zapped

To fix this problem I found a fix at the coby website. I downloaded this zip file. Unzipped it and did a drag and drop of the font file onto my coby when it was plugged into my usb port. Now I can read my menus again. Yippee!!

I have a problem

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Almost always, these Chinese MP3/MP4 players uses a non standard compression for their video file something like moviename.rm. Try to view your Cobya using USB/PC and determine if it has a sample video through Windows Explorer (with the Folder Option set to view filename extensions). Having done so, you can now determine what movie file extensions is acceptable to the Cobya.

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

I had same problem with this mp3 player bought for 5 euros in china shop. After a headcake on why you couldn't format the mamory because of a lock on it i tryed to update my 1.66 firmware with the 1.68 and averything come fixed.
It would take a long time and the pc will slow down but let it do it and it will go. (i had to do it twice).

the file is called PDP95XX_FWUpgrade_v1.68.exe on google.

Hope it helps

Wont start properly...

Missing Font File Error SOLUTION:

After formatting you can sometimes loose your font file. To replace it simply download the font file from here: Then when viewing the folders on your player make sure the 'System' folder is visible (Tools>Folder Options>Do not hide hidden folders). Simply put font file you downloaded into the System folder on your player.
