Question about Cuisinart Grind and Brew 10 Cup Coffee Maker
I am doing my first run through with water on my grind and brew. The lid is off the carafe. the water is just coming out the front of the unit onto my countertop. little bits make it into the pot. is my unit broken? or am i doing something wrong?
You must have the carafe lid ON. The reason is the lid has a dome on top that pushes up to let the brewed coffee come down. With the pot off look in there with a flashlight....you'll see that the 1 inch dome pushes up on the spring loaded stem.
You MUST have the lid in place or the brewed coffee won't drain into the pot.
