Question about Dymo LetraTAG Thermal Label Printer
All I get is: !!!!!! I put in new battries??? What's the deal??? thx... Z
Easy solution. Put in freshly charged up batteries. The battery power needs to be strong enough to heat up the thermal parts to print the letters. - Iain McNaugher

I had the same problem as everyone else here. I used the little 'swab' brush in the cap and spun the black rubber wheel counterclockwise and saw a small piece of dymo tape stuck inside. I used a pair of locking tweezers (hemostats) as regular tweezers wouldn't grab the paper and hold on. I tried to pull it out and found that it was doubled back. I had to take the small screw inside the cover off, just below the tape roller cartridge, take out the 6 batteries, take out the 4 screws and GENTLY pry the blue plastic from the black base. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE CUTTER. There is a small (and I mean SMALL) spring in there. Smaller than any ballpoint pen spring. Try not to lose any parts. Once the covers were off, I was able to grab the offending paper and pull it out. You have to be careful about putting the entire thing together. If the cutter comes apart, remember that the long spring goes into the black 'cartridge' looking doohinky and the smaller one (loose) goes on the side and is only held in with regular tension. I don't really see the use of it, but it is there for some unknown reason. Make sure that the rollers glide properly and that everything is lined up. I had to start and shut mine off 2 times (must need to reboot, lol) and now it works perfectly. While I had it apart, I used a q-tip with adhesive remover and cleaned the cutter blade. It was pretty gummy.
Good luck to all!
