Question about SanDisk Sansa e200 MP3 Player

My computer will not recognize my mp3 player while it is in MTP mode

If I plug my MP3 player in while it is in MSC mode, the device will appear in "My Computer" but when I plug it in while it is in MTP mode, nothing will appear in "My Computer" and I need to access my MicroSD card.

Not even the player itself will appear.

What do you think is wrong?

It did this once before, but somehow the problem was solved, and it worked fine. Now it's doing it again.
Windows XP.

    the player will not pop up at all when plugged in and it use to before i reformated my computer

Keep plugging it in and out STOP once u see the icon then go to properties, tools and error check

See the section about the hot fix first----- If you are using Windows XP: you need the following. Windows XP SP2 or higher Windows Media Player 10 or higher

On my mp3 i had washed it on accident but the battery was dead when i did i tried to plug it into the computer it did nothing; i dried it it finally worked with my computer reading it and all; i instantly...

SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player with Mac? Is there any driver to make it compatible with Mac platform? Thank you


NOTE: MAC computers do NOT support MTP modes of USB conectivity in a MP player. A Sansa player in MTP mode when plugged into a MAC computer will NOT be detected or recognized. MAC computers supports Sansa players in MSC mode Sansa players can only be recognized by a MAC if the USB mode on the Sansa player is set to Auto Detect or MSC.
Check in the System Profiler Open System Profiler from the Utilities folder, which is inside the Applications folder. From the Contents column on the left, under the Hardware header, select USB; the panel to the right will show all the USB devices that the computer recognizes. It may not identify them correctly by name, but it should have the right number of devices listed. . Navigate to USB Mode settings. Sansa View - From the Main Menu, select More > Settings/Options > System Settings > USB Mode.
Sansa Fuze and Sansa Clip+ - From the Main Menu, select Settings > System Settings > USB Mode.
Sansa Clip, e200v1 series, e200v2 series and e200R - From the Main Menu, select Settings > USB Mode.
2. Select Auto Detect, MTP or MSC. e200R - PlayforSure is MTP and Rhapsody is MSC

Mine won't read it in MTP mode. It works for me in MSC mode though.

Deleting demo songs


For Windows XPTM users, you are connecting the device in MTP mode to the computer by default. You will need to set the device to MSC mode, so go to the device menu\Settings\Advanced\Protocol = > Press Play/Pause key to select MSC mode which will appear as such on the screen. Reconnect the device to the computer, and you can now see those files and delete them.
DO NOT forget to set the device back to MTP mode when finished, so go to device menu\Setting\Advanced = > Select MTP mode.

Deleting


If your listening to your mp3 player on the computer, then you can't delete any songs. Exit out of the music player and then delete all of your songs.
