IS-LCDTV32 32 went dead a month ago. Sent in the tv for service and they said I had to replace the circut board. I declined for 400 bucks and did it myself for 30 bucks. Now I power it on and it will not stay powered up. Red light comes on, no blue light and no picture.
Went dead? no power light? if you had no lights at all its probably the power supply, if you had a red light then I would go with the main board. Disconnect the lcd panel from the main pcb and inverter and see if your blue light stays on. If so you have a bad panel.

Fault at its main digital board again. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
Before going further; try a hard reset first. If it does not help you, replace the main digital board. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here. Just replace its SMPS board [Power supply board] too along with the main board. A faulty power supply board will make the main digital board too bad.
Please note that we are not affiliated with any company. We are a bunch of independent consultants with hands on experience at fixing stuff. However if you can get me the make and model of the tv along with country of residence I can get you the contact info of the customer service department so that you can get it replaced.
Power supply in your TV went from bad to dead. You can remove rear cover and try to locate bad capacitors (they will have bulged tops instead of flat ones). Replace them and see if it's going to resurrect TV. If not - whole Power Supply board have to be replaced. Regards. Russ.
More likely the backlight inverter board has gone out, or power supply for the inverter board went out, those are the two places to look. Check the power supply first for burnt parts, bad capacitors. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor_plague

hello, you have a (shutdown circut) it happens when the tv senses trouble in the circut.
becuase these type of tv's run hot at high internal voltages parts can become overheated and loose proper resistance or ability to handle voltages that have to reach other parts of the circut and other internal board panels. a shutdown it is for protection. you may want to check your power supply if there was a pop that is something inside that went bad. be careful to touching inside theres is high voltages stored in the components.
i can not tell you specifically what your primary cuase was without your model service manual. no power means power supply trouble.
replace or trace.
what ever blew out cuased the power supply to go bad you will need a service manual to know for sure.
the wise chioce is to have a service center check it for you they will know what to repair or exchange.
hello the red blinking lights is a service code when this happens it means theres a power problem or a fualty circut. it happens alot with these new plasma and lcd tv's its very common since these units have built in protection and power loss a fualt or short will cuase this.
the tv needs service the tech will know what to look for according to the number of blinks.
hello. you are not alone, this is a common problem with alot of new lcd and plasma tv's since they operate with high internal voltages the circuts have built in protection. any slight power fualt or short in the circut will cuase a sos or shutdown. may be a number of different reasons or even a shorted fuse.
it needs to be checked you have a power issue.
some models if there is a blinking led the number of blinks indicates the fualty area.
your tv needs service.
If the circuit breaker was tripped, more likely the fuse inside the TV power supply might also be blown. If that is the case there might be a short circuit in the power supply components, more likely on a diode or transistor/mosfet.
Contact these website to see if they have the parts for your plasma.
I had a pwer supply for my Protron 32 inch TV that was not working. I bought the one on ebay and it stopped working after only three weeks. Ultimately I found a guy who could fix my original power supply for a reasonable price. It been working for a year now with no problems. I wish I would have tried him first!!!! If anyone is interested his email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
