if you are installing a new mother board and chip go straight to win 10 as win 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft and win xp is a waste of time as many programs now will not run on it
Install DriverMax 6.41.0.363 or driveridentifier http://www.driveridentifier.com/desktop.php and drivers choose to present it requires inscription on site.
I had the same problem but once I installed these two could find the drivers it needed. You can also go to the asus website and search for the model name of your laptop.
I have another problem: after install win7, the batery not charge. I bought the laptop with Vista, but I installed XP, now installed
Windows 7, everything is working perfectly but not charge the battery, I've
tried everything: calibration, tested various power plans, I ended up buying a
new battery but no result . I think it must be some kind of driver or change
something in the BIOS that I lack despite having returned to install XP and
Vista and battery re-charging without problem. if you can help me send email [email protected] good luck
Open the Device Manager, Imaging Devices, is it there? Scan for hardware changes. Open Windows Updates, install all updates. Search Gateway website, select your OS 32 or 64bit: http://support.gateway.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?tab=1&modelId=2373 Download driver for webcam. You may have to use the Vista driver. Change compatibility to win 7. What was the OS originally?
I used a helpfixanypc.co.uk which is my local computer repair company for my software problems. However from the best of my knowledge i think windows 7 is not compatible with your webcam. I think the best thing you can do is try this software called yawcam [search it in google]. Its free and if it works you fixed however if not then i guess you need to find a driver but that might be difficult cuz webcam drivers are hard to come by for windows 7.
Hello what model is your acer, you just pointed out it was an acer aspire one net book theres different models, however your best bet is when you do find out what model your acer aspire one is, go to google type in your model number then the webcam driver and the operating system which is windows 7, for example: acer aspire one netbook zg5 windows 7 webcam driver.
If your stuck just add what model number your acer aspire one net book is and i will be happy to help you out.
Philips PC Camera SIC4750 is only compatible with OS Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows 2000 & Win XP. (Only 32Bit system ie x86)
FAQ from Philips(Ref. Link) Question: Can I use my webcam with Windows 7 or Vista ? Answer:- At the time this webcam was designed, Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems did not exist yet. Unfortunately, the internal hardware of the webcam does not match the requirements of these operating systems. Therefore we cannot provide a software upgrade (driver upgrade) to support Windows Vista or Windows 7. We apologize that we are not able to support you in this matter.
Too bad Philip do not provide the drivers if your are Using Vista or Win 7 or any x64Bit system.
You must request a new driver from intel for this particular webcam. Chances are that your webcam may not be able for Win 7 compatability. If the manufacture says they are not going to give it an updated driver for win 7, then you would need to buy another webcam that is more compatable to Win 7.
