My touch screen does not respond how do i reset it unit comes on but i can't select from the menu

Hold the red button down for 15 seconds until it shuts down. then repeat to reboot. Reboot may require several attempts.

Reset Procedures for Garmin, Navman, Tom Tom

Garmin Master Reset NB: This will erase all way points or favourites and will restore your unit to the default factory settings.
Nuvi® 2xx, 2x5, 5xx, 6xx, or 7xx.
  1. Start with the unit OFF and unplugged from power.
  2. Touch and hold the lower right corner of the screen with an index finger or the eraser end of a pencil.
  3. Continue touching and holding the lower right hand corner of the screen then power the unit ON.
  4. Release the power button when the device powers ON.
  5. You will see a new message: Do you really want to erase all user data?
  6. Remove your finger from the touch screen when this message displays.
  7. Touch Yes.
The device will automatically reset. Please follow the on-screen prompts on the n?vi and when completed, place your device in an area with a clear view of the sky until it acquires satellites.
Nuvi® 8xx or 5000.
  1. Turn the device OFF (you will need to remove the battery from a nuvi 8xx).
  2. Turn the device back ON (you will need to install the battery into the nuvi 8xx).
  3. When you see a progress bar on the screen of the unit, quickly place your fingertip, or the eraser end of a pencil, in the bottom right corner of the touch screen.
  4. Hold the bottom right corner of the touch screen until a message says, "Do you really want to erase all user data?"
  5. Release the touch screen and touch Yes.
  6. The unit will now restart.
  7. Follow the onscreen prompts to set up the nuvi.
Navman S30/50/70/S80/90i.
  1. To reset your device, hold down the power button for at least 10 seconds and the device will power off.
  2. Press and hold the power button to turn the device back on.

How to change langualge in GARMIN


To change the language in the Garmin GPS go to the "Where To" start up page (icon of magnifying glass), select/touch the wrench icon marked "tools" then in the next page there is another wrench icon marked "Settings", touch that, in the next screen is an icon of a set of lips and marked "Language", make your chosen language selection in the next screen after touching the lips icon. You did not say model of GPS, this is the most common way to get to the language menu in a Garmin GPS.

You will need to ensure that you are running the latest software which can be done by installing a program called WebUpdater. WebUpdater can be installed via the link below:

Once updated please allow the unit to reboot which will ensure the software successfully installs.

If it does try a Master Reset.
Lastly, unless you're in a strange location with poor reception. Take it back. Or, it's still under warranty.

Problem to connect in My PC the MIO C220


put a 2gb blank sd card in a computer that accepts sd cards. transmit the map from the cd directly to the blank card. Then put the new map into the C220 and reboot by holding the "ON" button down until it reboots.
