Leaking problem I have a leak in my water tank. It only leaks when it is upright. And sometimes it doesn't let the water out when I go to clean. What do you think could be the problem

I had the same problem and it was a crack in the plastic near the small rubber valves that let the water out. After having two tanks crack like this I complained to Hoover about the poor design and they sent me a new tank with a new design fee of charge. Obviously they were aware of the problem.

Hoover f7458-900 leaking when placing tank on

Hello! Test the clean water tank to see if it is leaking. Fill the clean water tank with water on both sides. Hold the tank up and observe if water leaks from the valves underneath the tank. If either of the valves are leaking the clean water tank will need to be replaced. To order a replacement tank follow this link > Search Results. If the tank is not leaking, but the cleaner leaks when the tank is placed on it, this may indicate an internal issue with your pump. We would recommend taking the cleaner to a Hoover authorized service center. Follow the link to locate the nearest service center to you. > Service Center Locator Hope this helps!

Leaks water or cleaner when setting upright

Turn the setting knob to the rinse cycle when not in use, and you have leftover cleaning solution. This is the standard setting when storing , it blocks the soap from dispensing.
Empty the water tank and rinse after each use, and store empty.
If still leaking check the lid on the soap dispenser, make sure the gasket is even before tightening down and or the gasket between the water tank and the body, make sure they seal , check if they are straight and flush where they connect..

My Bissell proheat2x leaks water from bottom of machine, if you have the water tank full and cleaner and leave it sit it drains out onto the floor, it leaks when you are using it to, is this a seal or...

Nope, not a seal problem, just natural good old fashioned natural gravity. I know it doesn\'t take long for it to start leaking after use but Bissell covers this in the manual. Thoroughly clean the unit, run clean rinse water through every cycle and empty all tanks and cavities after use. Do not leave water in any of the tanks when not in use. What doesn\'t leak on your floor (which doesn\'t take long) could cause permanent blockages in the lines. It\'s a pain, I know, but I use the garage or back deck to park and prep mine after use.

I have a hoover 5835-900 and it is leaking solution everywhere

You'll have to find out where it's leaking! Its not real hard. I will help you!

1. Fill the clean water tank. Check that the valve on this tank doesn't let water through when not on the machine. If it does this the tank is the problem.
2. Take off the 4-6 phillips screws holding the hood on to the machine. They will be on each corner underneath. Be Gentle! Do not break any of the plastic parts. Remove the hood.
3. Check where the clean water comes to a L valve. This valve is a very common problem. Place the water tank on the machine. DO NOT hold the handle down. Use paper towel to check for wet spots if you can't see where it is leaking. It should be fairly obvious.
4. If the water is coming from the "back" of the machine or the handle pry the cover off the inside of the handle revealing the hoses. The water release valves may be leaking. Be sure to check all hoses for cracks or breaks. Simply find the water.. and trace it back.

90% of the time it is the L valve which looks like this:

Carefully put the machine back together not forgetting anything and test!

Good Luck!!

Cleaning solution leaks

It could be the lid on the container. If it isnt lined up absolutely perfect it tends to leak. You could make it tighter with a bit of ptfe tape. As these containers go into the machine lid down this is here mine leaks if Im not very careful.

The clean water tanks leaks. What's causing the problem?

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Hoover Floormate H3000 Upright Wet/Dry Vacuum. You can down load the owner manual from the Hoover website www.hoover.com . It looks like the one of the holding or recovery tanks my not be in place, leaking, cracked or damaged, or the clear tube is leaking and needs replacing. I looked 2 the owner’s manual and it does not show the clear tube but the vacuum does come apart and just back track the clear tube and mark the screws when you disassemble the unit. Other wise , please call the factory or a local Hoover warranty station in your area. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
